I heard that Flair had a leg problem, not an injury but his leg was swollen(sp?) thus why he didn't compete.

yeah, later reports say he was taken to hospital at the start of the event, but was back by the time of the match, and came out to be in Reid's corner.

however, no word on Reid being elsewhere on the card, so maybe it was slightly exaggerated by Ric to get Reid on the card.

One of the very best promos ever for me.

"As far as I'm concerned, it looks like the Horsemen were here, they took a DUMP in the ring and they left THAT!" - One of the best lines ever to have graced a promo as well for me.

Quote FROM JIM ROSS WEBSITE

Now sources are saying Ric Flair had an appendicitis attack and then the doctors found a hernia which both are considered minor surgeries but my take on that is that no surgery is 'minor' when a guy is 65 years old. Details are still unconfirmed but we hope that Flair heals quickly.

JR is right. Always find it stupid when surgery is refered to as minor. Maybe in the scheme of surgeries you could have it is, but surgery is pretty major no matter what it is.

It seems the past few years health issues have hit him quite hard.

All the decades of acting like he's still 20 and living upto his on screen persona in real life have caught up with him.

He's been indestructible over the years. The stuff he's done should have killed him several times over, not the least of which was surviving his plane crash.

If he's getting a few things effecting him now, he's only starting to show his age in that respect.

Hopefully he pulls through ok. It started out sounding like it wasn't that serious, but it's gotten worse in the last day or so.

(FYI I hate this website, but no one seems to be giving as much detail as this place, so...)

Doesn't sound good at all does it? The worrying thing is there's not a great deal of detail from the major sites, which doesn't sit well with me at all.

I know i'm double posting...but now WWE are on the case saying he's in hospital isn't a very good sign...PS Hayes has said he does needs a lot of thoughts and prayers....unofficial sources are saying he's in an induced coma.....not looking good at all is it?

I have a feeling we'll have a tribute in one of the next three shows.
