I'm the opposite kind of weird from you BFP. You're the anti-hipster hipster, I'm the hipster. I used to mark the fuck out for the Undertaker, then he became main event, passe, and I got tired of him. I still like him, but I'm over him. Same for Jericho. I liked him when he was the Lionheart in WCW, when he became Y2J I was just so over him. ;) Benoit & Eddie? Good in WCW but as main events in WWF/E /yawn.

You like guys when they perform at the level they should perform at. I like guys when they underachieve.

At least we're not of the type that like guys who overachieve like John Cena.

EDIT: Oh wait, I kinda do sometimes... at least when he's burying the IWC by rubbing their noses in exactly what they hate. That shit is hilarious. More photo ops with John Cena celebrating his big win with his arm around an upset fatty wearing a "Cena 'nuff" T-Shirt please!

This is why if Cena ever does turn heel it will be a beautiful thing, he has all the trolling of the fans and heat-gaining tactics down perfectly, think it was Powerslam magazine that recently said Cena could get nuclear heat from the fans just by smirking and it's true.

But anyway, I at first liked Miz as a face, I really thought he could make it work because although his strength is destroying people on the mic in heelish fashion I thought he's talented enough to adapt that into a cool cocky babyface character. But it just hasn't worked and like so many talents that flip from heel or face in WWE he's become too watered down and his fan reaction is now lukewarm at best. He needs to turn heel again, WWE acknowledged when Alberto Del Rio's face-turn had bombed and turned him back heel so now they should do the same with Miz.

I liked it when the Miz came out with Rosa Mendez to mock Fandango. For a moment the old cocky arrogant Miz showed through.

But I don't think that WWE management is ready to trust Rosa enough to have allowed their pairing to last longer than that one-off.

Then the next week he was back to being generic babyface. The match was piss poor. Aside from Fandango getting his nose broken; actually that might have been the highlight. Miz looked like he forgot how to do the Figure Four, again. But given how ugly his looks, he needs to give it up.

Speaking of giving up stuff, the Miz's talk show bit needs to be dropped. It's horrid. It's not even funny-bad. It' just bad-bad.

Quote -- Word is that fans shouldn't be surprised if WWE gives up on The Miz as a babyface in the near future.

It hasn't worked, I thought Miz could adapt quite nicely into a face but he's just become a far more tame and watered down version of his heel persona, so effectively he's become very dull.

I've said this before but I think the only way they could maybe make him work as a face would be to bring back John Morrison and renew their former partnership as a DX style duo.

But otherwise he should just turn heel again, Miz will almost certainly never reach the dizzy heights again of where he was when he was WWE champion before a John Cena demolition job sent him plummeting down the card, but he can still be a decent high mid-carder/occasional main-event guy.

After seeing his parents ringside, he has to be pleased he doesn't look like either of them.....

He's a talented guy so I would have prefered him to have been booked as a winner against someone in his hometown.

Instead it was the predictable cheap heat tactic that management know so well.

The beatdown he took from Orton was the most interesting thing The Miz has done since he held the WWE championship.

His stock is really low IMO and that has resulted in him having dance off's with Fandango - who by the way is far more entertaining than Miz will ever be.

I'm wondering if his beatdown will lead to a push when he returns, as a reward forall of the promo work he does for the WWE?

I actually thought there was a resemblance between Miz and his Dad, obviously his old man is older and in far worse shape physically.

I think all this will lead to a Miz heel turn and possible alignment with the new corporation, he's been a flop as a babyface and needs to revert to his more comfortable and effective heel persona to have any chance of saving his WWE career, he will almost certainly never main-event again, that ship has sailed, but at least as a heel he can be a valuable upper mid-card player.

I hate the tendency people have to take someone getting beatdown or having someone do something to build heat against them and then for people to say "I think he could be turning heel soon", or simply hoping for it. Its just an indication of the mindset of fans nowadays.

He just got beat up by the bad guys. Unless WWE wanted to create a sullen, lone wolf sulky heel they wouldn't want to align him with the bad guys immediately afterwards. It flies in the face of logic. He's going to look like a boss when he finally hits that nerve and becomes a ball of fire in the match as a babyface, and get his payback. If he turned heel he nullifies that heat and potential story telling angle, which is the opposite of what WWE needs and wants to do.

I agree that from a storyline perspective it's not the best time to turn him at present, but fact is he's terrible as a face and it's well known a heel turn is probably in the pipeline for him sooner rather than later.
