Ugh don't say that! Miz deserves a decent run, at least holding it until Mania.
I still would have lived to have seen him hold the briefcase until well after mania, and had pressure put on him by management to cash in before it expires.

I agree but I can't see him holding it til mania
Even if he makes it out of tonight , Fastlane is the WWE debut on peacock so they'll want to start with a bang - Reigns isn't dropping his belt anytime soon so to me, if it isn't before then, The Miz will drop the title then

I don't at all see Miz holding on to the title until WrestleMania.
I also think that Lashley will get the belt at the next pay per view if not next week on Raw so that Miz and Morrison can keep their program with Bad Bunny going. As far as the title picture goes post-Fast Lane, Lashley as champion and McIntyre chasing, and since there's gonna be people at WrestleMania as well as considering how strong Lashley has been booked lately, I think they're gonna get Lesnar involved in that program, making it a triple threat for the title, which I think is going to be a very good match.

I can see exactly how this will play out.....
The Miz defeated Drew McIntyre after Drew had been through five opponents in the Elimination Chamber and then been beaten down by Lashley, so it was booked very much as a fluke win over a very tired and beaten up champion. The Miz on Raw is now being booked as a cowardly champion completely lacking in credibility, he spent the episode trying to figure out a way of not facing Lashley which of course was the agreement made for Lashley taking out Drew leaving him easy pickings for Miz. Meanwhile Lashley decisively beat Braun Strowman setting the title match for next week against Miz. Next week will see all sorts of high jinks with Miz and Morrison trying to figure a way out of the match but ultimately I see Lashley squashing Miz for the title next week. This sets up Lashley vs Drew for the title at Wrestlemania where I expect Drew to regain his title and get his big moment in front of fans. This is a good story I like it. Miz is a entertaining character but in the ring he is booked as a cowardly heel who always needs shortcuts to get the win, and more recently he has been defined down to almost comedy jobber status so its very hard at this point to take him seriously as a champion, but he is still a great character one of the best promos in the business and I think this is the right way to play this by having Miz try and dodge challengers and use every trick available to hold on to his belt. Its a entertaining story which protects Drew as he never lost his belt in anything close to a fair fight and it allows Lashley to transition nicely from his US title loss to World champion. I've always liked Lashley hes a great worker and even though we are now entering the later stages of his in ring career and he doesnt have the biggest personality on the roster I think he's earned a title reign and a Wrestlemania main event, and even a short reign will give him a rub and help solidify him as a top guy.

I really hope to see Miz weasel his way out of losing the belt, time after time. His win boosted ratings, and hopefully WWE will capitalize on that and continue booking Miz as a Honkey Tonk Man kind of character.

I knew he wouldn't keep it ... To me this is a waste of the briefcase - its been wasted badly this year- first of all having Otis win and then losing it, Miz having it and cashing in only to lose the belt 2 weeks later. Should have just had Lashley take Miz spot in the chamber and win the title then

What a shame he's lost it so soon after waiting so long for a second run with the belt. After his years of great service there I would have let him hold it until Wrestlemania. The whole thing has made him being given back the MITB briefcase pointless.
