Thinking about it I could see The Miz winning the number one contenders match then going on to beat AJ for the title which sets Bryan vs Miz for the belt at Wrestlemania next year.

Personally I’m not liking this feud, I love Miz on the mic but in the ring he’s only passable and a bit generic, I’m no fan of Bryan I can’t stand his sympathetic face character and in the ring I don’t think he’s quite what he used to be and I’m not a fan of this Japanese influenced throw a hundred kicks style. Can’t stand Brie Bella either which doesn’t help.

I think I might be in the rare position of being in the minority of people that LIKE a feud most people don't. Usually it seems I only like the most popular feuds, or if I'm in the minority, it's because I dislike a feud most people do. But I really enjoy this feud. I'll admit lately it's sort of just coasting on the momentum gained from their previous encounters back in 2010/11 and again a couple years ago on Talking Smack and while Bryan was Raw GM, but that shit was just so good, I'm still quite fine with it.

I also can't stand either Bella twin. I think Brie is the better of the two, but I watched her recent matches since returning and she's so abysmally bad it's cringey, and to be fair, Maryse isn't much better if at all. However, I like Bryan and I like The Miz so seeing them work a feud together finally makes me happy. I'm also ready for it to end soon so the announcement of this next match becoming a #1 contendership really works well for me.

I really DO hope that Miz goes on to face AJ Styles, and Bryan goes on to face Samoa Joe because I think both feuds would be great.

Quote On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, it was speculated by Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez that a likely reason why the Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz match was so short is because they were running out of time and didn't want to cut anything out of the Triple H vs. Undertaker match. This isn't confirmed and more information will likely come out over the next week, but even though the HHH/Taker match went on much longer than it should have, it is doubtful that the participants wanted to cut out any of their top spots or highlights from the match.

It was predictable that Bryan would finally get a win, but the shortness of the match really spoilt it.

Even the crowd was dead for their hero winning a title shot, like they were wondering if that's it.

With no network restrictions they could have run the match another 10-15 minutes so the fued ended in style with a match worthy of eight years of history.

I've heard that the match wasn't actually cut short but WWE are aware of fatigue with the feud, hence why they've only had one real long match.

Essentially they see this as a defining feud for both men so they're going to tangle a lot in the coming years. They're just trying to make things a little different. Still felt like a botched finish to me at the time but now things are coming out it might actually have been a clever move.

There have been no clean finishes in this feud. Even with the shock roll up it could be called a fluke and The Miz really did have his shoulder up. No definitive winner is a useful place to be in given that the plan was always to reestablish Bryan at the top and take Miz closer to the WWE championship.

That theory makes sense, there’s definitely a longterm plan with Bryan and The Miz with a bigger pay-off(I think eventually we will see a World title feud between them), at this point there was no need to see another long drawn out match between them as we’d seen it before more than once recently and the small package finish was a good way to build heat and for Miz to save face claiming it was a fluke win for Bryan, so far there is no decisive winner in this feud so it will definitely be re-visited soon.

We could have the rematch at WrestleMania for the WWE championship have them finally settle the score and move on this could also potentially make the miz a face again without changing his çharacter àlmost like a eddie guerro type character who will do whatever it takes to get the job done

As smug and douchey as Bryan Danielson can be, and as good of a guy as Mike Mizanin can be, Daniel Bryan & The Miz are firmly entrenched in their respective roles as babyface and heel. Trying to turn either would be a bad move.

Miz completely destroyed both Bryan and AJ Styles on the mic and came off looking like he was better than both of them combined. Truly, everything Styles & Bryan can do on the mic, Miz can do on the mic.

I think there's a triple threat in their future and I am genuinely thrilled at the prospect.
