Quote From Jim Ross website

@mikethemiz created a buzz in social media circles after his reality based, organic sounding promo that Miz aggressively executed on 'Talking Smack' on the WWE Network after Smackdown Live went off the air Tuesday night. MIz' promo represented his best work IMO in a long while as he seemingly expressed himself from his heart and not from his memory. Few wrestlers in today's marketplace are truly accomplished in being able to have a quick turnaround upon once receiving their promo copy, memorizing it, and then being able to deliver the copy in a real, authentic manner when it counts and that's on live, TV.  The "I'm Not Working You" feel of any pro wrestling promo always resonates infinitely more than does a memorized promo that sounds as if it is being recited from pure memory without true, motion behind it.

All promotions should consider putting more confidence in their own talents to let them create a large portion of their own promos but with the help of a producer who also realizes that less is truly more when it comes to the heavily scripting of promos and inadvertently producing the personality out of these verbal adventures.

My black hat's off to The Miz for kicking some verbal ass Tuesday night that will hopefully be the start of more to come from the IC Champion. For the record, It's not about volume but always about authentic passion and convictions when it comes to cutting a promo.

Final note on cutting promos is to do all that you can to be yourself and not 'work' the audience as i tl relates to one's delivery and sincerity.

Unlike many fans, I have no skin in the game when it comes to how I like or do not like the look of various pro wrestling title belts. Sorry but I've never been a "belt guy" and honestly scratch my head at times about how obsessed some fans seemingly are regarding this matter.

Seems odd that DB did an interview about his week with Smackdown and the stuff with Miz wasn't mentioned.

Do we think E have changed their mind about not clearing him to wrestle or that someone will get pushed to defend the honour of Bryan against Miz in a title fued?

I'd imagine these two will have a close bond from working so closely together in DBs early days in the company.

So this match up is slowly coming to a head. Mizuno is the guy you love to hate and Bryan is the best underdog story in the past 20 years. This one could go either way and I don't have a favorite. With these two , I wouldn't mind seeing hold after hold, kick out after kick out then maybe a little bit of fist fury. Should be a great match.

Quote The Miz and Maryse are backstage with their baby, talking to Paige. The Miz says it's time to introduce their baby to the WWE Universe, and he gets ready to strap the baby to his chest.

- The Miz comes out to ther ing with Maryse and their child strapped to Miz's chest. The Miz talks about last week being the farewell to Team Hell No, and tonight is the premiere party for their new reality TV show. Maryse also mentions the all-womens pay-per-view news, and she says the evolution really started with her. Maryse promotes their new show, and then Miz talks about it some more. The Miz introduces his baby, who in her short life has accomplished more than Daniel Bryan, and her name is Monroe Sky. The Miz says the mention of Daniel Bryan has put Monroe to sleep. The Miz says it's time to skip to a special preview of their show, and they roll the footage. The footage ends up being clips of The Miz getting beat up by other wrestlers and botching spots. The screen cuts to Daniel Bryan who apologizes for the footage mix-up. Bryan then says he wants to go to the ring and join the party, and apologize to Miz in-person for that. Bryan makes his way down to the ring next. Two people who appear to be The Miz's security guards stop Daniel. Daniel lays the two security guards out and he hits the ring. Bryan steps in the ring and The Miz throws the baby at it -- which is a doll and not his real baby. Bryan is confused for a moment as he catches the doll, and Miz drops Bryan with a big boot to the face out of nowhere. Miz follows up with a Skull Crushing Finale on Bryan. The Miz gets on the mic and says he knew Bryan would try to ruin his night, so he planned this all along. Miz says he baby we saw earlier was an actor. The Miz says if you want to see his real kid, you can tune into his show on the USA Network right now, and it will be awesome. We go to a replay of Miz throwing the baby doll and beating down Bryan. The Miz and Maryse embrace on the ramp as Bryan recovers in the ring and SmackDown goes off the air.

Good to see Maryse back and them having an actor baby is absolute heel gold.

Bryan will win at Summerslam, so expect Miz to continue to get more of the upperhand in the build up.

We've waited ages for these two to meet, so I hope it's not just going to be a one off match and they instead fued for the most of the year.

Bryan will win if he signs a new contract first. If not, all parties will insist that he lays down for The Miz on his way out.

Bryan will win. Eight years of history, finally leading to a match and the heel wins would be odd when it's likely to be a one off match.

Quote Byron Saxton steps in the ring and interviews The Miz on the big screen via satellite. The Miz calls Byron a bad announcer, and he promotes his new USA Network reality show. Miz says he's going to finish Bryan at SummerSlam, because he's sick of sharing the spotlight with him and dealing with him. The Miz says while Bryan was at home crying and out of action, The Miz was here day after day working. Bryan then runs in and attacks Miz from behind out of nowhere. Bryan beats down Miz, but Bryan gets distracted by Miz's security and Miz smashes a vase over the back of his head. The Miz and his security hobble off as Bryan recovers on the floor.

Miz is right with everything he says. Bryan has pretty much flopped since returning to action.

How did Bryan know where Miz was on location filming his new show from.....The way Bryan got up and wandered off in the same direction that Miz did, I expected another fighting segment between them later in the show.

Very few times in wrestling can you get the feeling as , hmm, there's moments you feel some of this is legit. The talking smack bit, some of the comments thrown back and forth. Very very good. Kinda reminds me of a modern day Ric Flair v Ricky Steamboat feud. This one has been very well done

Quote The Miz and Maryse come down to the ring to kick off this week's show. We see a replay of The Miz using brass knuckles on Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam on Sunday. The Miz says he has an announcement to make, and he looks sad as Maryse hugs him. The Miz says he's sad to announce his retirement... against facing Daniel Bryan ever again. He says his 8-year saga with Daniel Bryan has come to a satisfying conclusion. Miz says Bryan punched him a hundred times, but that's no match for one of his punches, like the one that ended the match. Daniel Bryan comes out to the stage to interrupt, and he calls The Miz a coward. Miz interrupts and says Bryan has to accept his loss because he will never beat Miz and will never have a chance to face him again. Bryan tells Miz to shut up, and says he's a wannabe actor pretending to be a wrestler. He says Miz won't be able to retire yet, but then Maryse interrupts and tells Bryan that he should retire again and change his name to Daniel Bella. Brie Bella then interrupts and hits the ring. Maryse rolls outside so Brie punches Miz and then Bryan clotheslines Miz out of the ring. Bryan gets back on the mic and says he just talked to Paige, and at Hell In A Cell they will all have an intergender mixed tag match. The Miz and Maryse freak out and head backstage as Bryan leads a "yes" chant.

The match at Summerslam would have mattered more after such a long build, if it had been for a title.

I would rather at HIAC they had a gimmick one on one, instead of their wives having to get involved.

The best part of segment was Maryse with her Daniel Bella line.

Yes , as this has been done before with Cena and Nikki , now bring Bre into it. I understand why , they are getting ready for Evolution, for me I would be more than ok if the Bellas were gone , completely and all the way out

Quote Miz & Maryse vs. Daniel Bryan & Brie Bella: Miz and Daniel will start this one off. A distraction from Maryse at ringside allows Miz to hit a cheap-shot on Bryan. Miz throws a kick at Bryan but Bryan catches it and takes him down with a dragon screw. They go up to the top rope and Bryan hits a Frankensteiner. Bryan looks for the Yes Lock but Miz escapes. Miz comes back with the "yes kicks" and beats on Bryan in the corner. Bryan finally fights him off and goes flying off the top for a diving headbutt, but Miz rolls out of the way and Bryan crashes to the mat by himself. Miz looks for his own version of the Yes Lock, but Bryan breaks free and Brie tags in. Brie slaps Miz across the face repeately, and then she goes after Maryse and they fight out to the ringside floor. Bryan then goes flying off the apron with a knee on Miz. Miz comes back an whips Bryan into the fan barricade, and both men are own. Back in the ring, Brie hits a splash on Maryse and pummels on her. Bryan brings Miz back in the ring, and he and Brie hit the Yes Kicks on Maryse and Miz. Brie pushes Maryse into the Miz who falls down to ringside with Bryan. Maryse and Brie now take turns rolling each other up and Maryse ends up getting the three count.
Winners: The Miz & Maryse

- Miz and Maryse immediately retreat up the ramp and embrace on the stage while Bryan and Bella look confused in the ring.

Bit of a shock result to see the heel in the fued going 2-0 up, when the babyface is seen as the bigger star.

Not sure about both couples being colour co-ordinated. It was a bit much.

You've got to think Daniel Bryan is going to win the next match.....

The one true markout moment for me on SmackDown was seeing that their next match is a #1 contendership. I love any scenario here, but I think my ideal would be to see Miz vs AJ for the title and then Bryan vs Joe and then seeing Bryan vs Miz for the WWE title after that, followed by Bryan as champion defending against AJ.

AJ vs Bryan is a fucking dream match, but Miz as champion once again is ... Wait for it... AWESOME!

I suppose the more likely scenario is to see Bryan win and then go with AJ vs Bryan at Survivor Series. I won't complain if that's what happens but I'd rather save that feud for after mania.
