Miz has to win. He's done that much jobbing lately for a champion that he needs a significant win.

I don't care about Corbin and if he wins it wouldn't elevate him because fans simply don't care for him.

Two midcard heel champions going at it, it's going to be heavily The Miz the crowd favourite.

So, what does Baron Corbin have going for him? First, his entrance. His new theme song, The End of Days, is the best of the current WWE talent. Second, the moniker, The Lone Wolf, is a great heal gimmick (which has totally been destroyed by his joining together with other wrestlers in the idiotic “Red vs Blue” Survivor Series buildup). Third, the End of Days finisher is a legitimate, badass finishing maneuver. So, what’s missing. Well, the bell has to ring. He has hurt his own arms so many times trying to pat himself on the back and it is not lost in the locker room. He has become almost as unpopular as Enzo. But, you know what? Enzo has actually improved in the ring. Baron could take lessons. Promos are weak and the Miz will out-talk, out-wrestle, and yes, even out-class Baron Corbin. Should be a long day for the fans...I mean, Baron Corbin Sunday.

A doctor would be a better heal gimmick

In all seriousness - Corbin has nothing spectacular but i think WWE see him as a project that they can work on to get a legit badass big man on SD - basically what they have with Strowman on Raw

The issue with that is Corbin is dull, he does not have the same impact as Strowman and isnt being booked in nearly the right way

Miz has owned the rivalry in every aspect, as expected and should walk out with the win on the night

It would be a huge moment for Corbin if he was to get the victory but then im sure the momentum would be lost when they went back to booking him like they currently do on Smackdown

They need to give Corbin a run with the US title that is equal to the run Miz has had as IC champion to build up some credibility and put him in the ring with various styles of superstar to improve his skillset because he doesnt stand out as someone who is actually that talented.

His promo skills need some work too but im sure with more and more main event exposure - they will improve

The best thing about Corbin is infact his entrance music

Quote Miz opened things up with a big right hand then followed it up with more. Corbin with a splash in the corner. Bo Dallas distracted Corbin and Miz hit a baseball slide. Corbin tossed Miz into the barricade. Miz took down Corbin, and they brawled back into the ring to which Miz clotheslines him out to the floor. Corbin hit a big boot to Miz on the apron.

Corbin tossed him into the corner then landed a knee strike. Miz took out his knees with a drop kick then sent him to the floor. Corbin laid him out with a right hand. Bo Dallas took out the left knee of Corbin while the referee wasn’t looking. Miz with a big boot and worked over Corbin’s left knee then went for the figure four leg lock but Corbin got out of it.

However, Miz cut him off and locked in the submission hold. Corbin hit a side slam for 2. Miz went to the top rope, but Corbin caught him. Miz got out a chokeslam and Corbin hit a clothesline then a hip toss to Bo followed up by End of Days.

Miz rolled up Corbin for 2. Corbin went for End of Days, but Miz blocked it and hit a spike DDT for 2. Miz with a series of kicks but missed the big kick and Miz hit a drop kick in the corner. Corbin caught him with End of Days out of nowhere for the win.

Winner: Corbin.

The match was passable at best and didn't deliver, maybe because.......

1) Corbin is never in a match that's better than average, so Miz had no chemistry with him.

2) Both guys are heels so again the crowd wasn't sure who to cheer for.

3) At this point Raw as 2-0 up so we knew who was going to win.

I agree - Miz played the baby gave in this with Maryse helping out (given she’s pregnant etc etc)

I’ve slated Corbin for a while now and while part of me thinks I was right to do so - the other part of me thinks that he may not have had a fair chance because his match last night was his best in WWE

I liked his little dig at us forum guys too with his “i shut all of you at home up aswell” promo after the match

I think the match was good, I was impressed with Corbin. definitely surprised he was not just allowed the win, but a clean win, as well as taking out Dallas and Axel, seems weird to have done that in a match that has very little consequence when he's struggled to get passed Sin Cara.

he was getting some cheers after the match, so you have to give him props for turning those cheers into boos so quickly and retaining his heel heat.
