From the ashes was easy, but for me it was about the payoff of having the Prothean in your squad when you do other quests. His lines were classic. The perfect troll.

Omega was cool, but extended cut, citadel, and from the ashes I wouldn't even play without. imo Leviathan should have been a part of the game and not a dlc, which I guess goes for Omega too, I just preferred learning the reaper organic race backstory.

Just wanted to check if the ME3 DLC´s are on steam or something... and was baffled... no ME3 on steam at all! I guess EA really pulled the plug there once they released their own gaming portal with Origin...

Just finished my first playthrough of ME3. They definately have to come up with something new for ME4. NOt only because Shepards Story is finished (that could be easily remedied with Project Lazarus 2 or canonizing the "destroy all synthetics" ending) but the overall feel of ME3 invites a finished feeling to it. In ME1 and 2 it was all about exploring, getting stronger and stronger to finally kick that final boss in the nuts and get everyone out alive. ME3...... is sad. In my regards, ME3 is all about setting the stage for a brighter future while saying goodbye to the amazing characters you met along the way. In that regard.... I would love for them to explore on that brighter future. I would very much like to see some of the characters that survived ME3 in smaller NPC roles and cameos but no actual storyline interaction is required.

But... damn.... I sure had hoped to get to bang that psychotic biotic once more before stepping into the light.... *sigh*

That's actually a really apt way of putting it: "Setting the stage for a brighter future while saying good bye to the amazing characters you met along the way."

There's some really high spots here and there though, the one on one "dates" (if you want to call them that) where you get to spend a little free time with your squad mates, like when you do target practice with Garrus at the top of the presidium and purposely miss: "I'm Garrus Vakarian and THIS is my favorite place on the Citadel!" was an awesome feel-good moment.

And there were a number of them like that, even without getting the Citadel DLC. I don't know if you got the Citadel DLC or not, but that thing is packed full of those kinds of moments. In fact, IMO it made romancing Miranda in 2, and then staying loyal to her in 3 worthwhile.

I definitely think Project Lazarus could do a lot to further the story of Commander Shepard IF they wanted to go that way, but TBH, while I would LOVE to see the old group together again, I agree that the story has run it's course and it's time to move on. Hopefully into the future, where you can see Matriarch Liara T'Soni and Urdnot's Clan Leader Grunt still playing roles in the storylines.

BTW DID you get the Citadel DLC? Because that DLC does give you the same kind of effect of getting that vacation time to spend with your love interest and have a good time with him/her.

yeah, i got the citadel DLC. I loved that during the party, Jack dances on the table and basically states that - since I romanced her, Shep would later on eat her on that table - much to the disgust of Cortez. (I also rofld when I caught Kasumi going through my underwear drawer)

Ideas like Matriach T´Soni or Clan Leader Urdnot Grunt would be awesome, could then also be Miranda running Cerberus which transformed into a welfare organisation of sorts, Jacob being Admiral Taylor, Jack actuall becoming dean of grissom academy or sthn. I would like that.

I like that Idea but I see Liara staying in the Shadow Brokering business. Miranda I see in an Anti Cerberus Roll I wouldn't see her running with the Cerberus Name. Grunt as a Clan Leader Yup totally see it, Jack as Grissom Acadamy Dean Again yup I see it.

I would like to know more about what happens/happened to Tali, Kasumi, Joker and EDI. I see Tali being on the Quarian Council, Kasumi maybe helping the Shadow Broker/Liara with Acquisitions and EDI and Joker Flying on the Repaired Normandy.

I still like my Spawn of Shepard Idea. Shepard's Child finishes Officer training and he or she is put in charge of a ship similar to the Normandy and has to build a crew to stop the Yarl threat or something like that. and since my Shepard and FemShep were Breathing in the Rubble Dear ol' Dad or Mom can make a NPC Cameo appearance to keep the geeks like me happy.

On a barely related note my N7 Faux Leather Jacket Arrived today so Chuffed with that.
Lonely in this white room, There are Pads Everywhere. Chaffing Straight Jacket, Won't Die in Here.

Thank YouThe Love Song Writer for the Sig

Citadel, considering all the death, and sadness in Mass Effect 3, was really the only really great high spot in the game where everyone was at their best and not all so serious about the end of the galaxy et all.
If you're talking about Sheppard spawn, then Liara and Grunt will not have aged noticeably. Liara would still be in the maiden stage of her life, and Grunt still little more than a boy by Krogan standards as well. This would then put guys like Garrus Vakarian, Tali Zora, Jack, Miranda aged to middle aged and in leadership roles however, and at least still alive, and also Wrex would likely still be the head of clan Urdnot as well.

TBH I really like that idea the most.

From a story-tellers perspective, it might make more sense to put the story out a few hundred years, which kills off everyone but Grunt and Liara who would be either elderly or in the prime of their lives. Liara would likely stay the shadow broker, but, if you remember the conversation with her father Matriarch Aethyta, the bartender born of a Krogan, she was a matriarch who served as an honored advisor right there at that bar. (I fucking loved that character - pretty sure I have her story linked earlier in this thread). So it's not like Liara would have to be back on Thessia serving on some council, being a matriarch is more like reaching the grandmother age in a human woman's life.

EDI however ought to be just about the exact same character, so that would kick ass to see her/it again.

Anyways, I'm sure I'd like a prequel storyline to playthrough, but I'd much rather something I the future.

The Matriarch Aethyta character explains some of the more ruthless decisions Liara is able to make in ME2-3 very nicely too, seeing that... strictly speaking, Liara is 1/4th Krogan..... And yeah, that character is just boss, especially the "slap his ass with a singularity" line - it´s what goes through my head everytime I order Liara to use that skill during fights.

I think that Wrex could still be alive as well even if you forward the timeline for a century or two - he would be elderly by then thought, given that he states in ME:Citadel that he is 700 years old (and pretty much in his prime or just slightly past it at that time - he states, after the party in Shepards place, that you feel a night like the night before when you hit 700 years) - So I would actually love seeing him become... like maybe the Ambassador of the Krogan to the Council or - this is a longshot though - Councillor Urdnot Wrex. Grunt though, definately still in his adolescence now, would be in his prime and would make a very capable Leader of not only Clan Urdnot but the entire Krogan race.

I don´t know how long Turians generally live, so I can´t really make a statement about Garrus here.

EDI was destroyed in my ending...... Made me a bit sad actually.

Since I believe that Quarians are about as short lived as humans - Tali being 22 when she first joins the Normandy crew, according to the Mass Effect Wiki, she would be dead if the story jumps a few centuries, but I would even rejoice in finding a member of the ´Zorah family

However if they jump the storyline for, say 150 years only, you could even still see a very old Miranda (she stated in ME2 that she most likely lives for half again as long as a regular human, so a 170-something year old Miranda could be possible)
