Well, yeah; but you know, with all the sections we have on other topics (music, sports, movies, gaming, serious & none [as Adders spells it] serious); but even if wrestling is uninteresting now we have the old school section to talk about the good ole days.

So I would say "wrestling is boring and not interesting these days" is only half the story.

But people are always posting in the Non-Serious section. At least, from what I've seen.

Non-Serious' heyday was a couple of years ago, when JTB and I were running that shit, but then we ran out of good ideas, and it's not really any quieter or busier than any other section.

I admit, I am a scroller. I And even then I only read like 30% of the posts I see in the thread I thought was ok enough to enter.

Also don't forget we've gone through the summer in our section of the world so activity would naturally drop but now we're hitting the colder and dark months things will easily pick up as people will be in more to read and post their views.

You know, I'm not even sure I've been here a month yet, but I wanted to say that thus far I really like this place. I'm just this side of shocked at the level maturity and wisdom of the posters here. But I wanted to add my voice (so to speak) to this as a new guy and say that quality is far more important to me than quantity. The only reason I don't post more frequently is because if I did it'd be equivilent to quoting someone else and saying "What he said".
Even when I don't share some people's opinions on one person or storyline or whatever, I find it a relief to see that they are at least respectful of other people's opinions too. I couldn't ask for more, and I look forward to getting to know the forum regulars better as time goes on.
I was, about a year ago now actually, a regular poster on wrestlzone's forums. But I left because a number of the admins and mods were childish arogant trolls, and most of the posters, and there were countless numbers of them, were total ignorant marks. I spent many posts just educating, as nicely as possible, some kid that no, Kane isn't actually a satanist. He is both an athlete AND an actor, playing a charactor role, his name is really Glenn Jacobs and he's an extremely well educated, well adjusted, and well spoken man who could teach college level economics at any university in the US.
I don't mind doing that at all, I'm a dad afterall, but it's nice to talk with people I feel are my equalls, but out of that massive crowd of people there I found only half a dozen or so whose opinions I respect. Here, I've found more than that out of far fewer active posters. Bringing in new blood is necessary, but bringing in idiots would drive me away.
I would like to say though that I'm quite thankful to 'Admin' for finding me on youtube and recruiting me. This appears to be the site I was looking for last summer when CM Punk did his 'Pipe Bomb' and people were buzzing about it.

all i found today was a goodish interview with Charles Wright on prowrestling.net.

There has been a major drop in dirtsheet news and rumors. And I'm not going to post details on any upcoming DVD releases.  Maybe the big companies are doing a better job of keeping a lid on things. Or maybe there's just nothing going on.

Wrestling seems a bit flat at the moment. WWE has been spinning their wheels for a while. Then when John Cena got hurt, they lost their creative flowchart and had no idea what to do.

TNA had been doing so well as they picked up a lot of momentum with the BFG series. But now the Aces & 8s angle is getting bogged down.

Maybe the bigs have decided to down shift. The holiday season is near. US TV ratings are taking a pounding from the NFL. Historically attendance slips during this time of year. I recall hearing Eric Bischoff once say that December was always the worst month for business in WCW. Hence he never wanted to go "all-out" on a December PPV.

Oddly enough, December is also the month that Vince likes to try out new champs. Remember TLC 2011? Zack Ryder won the US title and Daniel Bryan won the WHC. Vince knows that with Royal Rumble around the corner he can always quickly switch the titles around if he's not happy with the outcome.
