Wooo the excitement of the first match back in the championship on saturday is here already. The big question will Barnsley stay up ? I think we will. Alot of sides ride off past glories and aren't as big as they are made out to be. Alot of sides have strengthened alot including our first oponents Cardiff City. End of the day we only have to have 3 sides worse then us. We are a weaker team losing experienced players. But it's time for the kids to step up and prove themselves one level higher. Michael Mcindoe is a great signing and as alot to prove because he thinks he should be in the premiership. Colin Healy is signing today and got both plenty of premiership and international experience. Birmingham i would go for winning the league. I am looking forward to better local derbies and alot more big matches. Prediction i would say 15th. The three relegated teams had something like 10 points from the first 12 matches last season. I am in no doubt we will beat that easily. Luton was a surprise package last season so someone will be this year.

Totally dominated the second half and most of the first. Letting in two goals in a couple of minutes i expected the floodgates to open. But credit to the lads for coming back. ITV need to get the scorer right because Michael Mcindoe looks nothing like Brian Howard who scored a goal of the season contender. They deserved the penalty but had a feeling Colgan would save one again. Both teams hit the woodwork. But we hit to the goalie, over, wide and just couldn't score due to not having a decent striker. A great game and the players got a better hand at the end then they did last season sometimes for winning games.

Lol i don't watch much of the championship, but i watched the plymouth game, and they were outstanding, they deserved to win, they hit the bar, had several chances and only scored one, But mind you it was against wolves who can't win or lose.

Crystal palace v Ipswich i saw highlights of and it was a good game, if anyone watched it both teams ahd new managers, Ipswich went 1-0 up in the 1st half then Palace pulled it back to a 2-1 win for them :D

I think it's ace how an American is up on the championship. Last night i cannot believe the mighty Barnsley came back against Hull City from 2-0 down to win 3-2. After seeing the goals i have to find fault with something haha. Their second goal was a keeper fumble then the captain Paul Reid heads it into his own net trying to clear. What we did last night is what we nearly did on saturday. And that is let us dominating count for something. Mcindoe scores again which including pre season (against premiership clubs) has scored 3 goals already and is only a winger. Main thing is scoring 4 goals this season already and all different scorers. Letting in three goals isn't good though. Colchester United away on saturday and they have yet to get a point. Hopefully it will be another 3 for us to put us in a early strong position.

4th of November at Oakwell. What the fucking hell is happening with Barnsley ? All the first three matches we have been behind. But we have come from behind twice to win in a matter of days both away. One was a Yorkshire derby at that. Marc Richards is a shit striker who a year ago was released by a league two side. NOw he's scored his second goal of the season two leagues higher. Brian Howard scores another goal of the season contender. Wow that guy is quickly turning into the new Craig Hignett. Last saturday i would have taken the 6 points and 8th in the league situation we find ourselves in. Southampton at home next saturday. I have always expected us to be like nowhere near relegation anyway. What you think to our start Gibson ? LOL

You've made a decent start and even though you're a bit short up front you're not struggling for goals so you should be okay.  Didn't expect you to be in the relegation fight and its not that hard a division to survive in if you play attacking like you.  Its teams like Sheffield Wednesday who have scored 1 goal (a penalty) in 3 games that will struggle cos they play so defensive.  Mid table looks likely for you.

Fucking hell i feel we was robbed of two points drawing 2-2 today. We got a penalty for a handball to put us in front for a second time. Then three minutes later the ref gives Southampton a penalty to even things up when it wasn't a penalty. Richards scores his third goal of the season already with a simple chance. Last season we couldn't score but didn't conceed. Now we are leaking goals but scoring them. You really cannot win because when something goes right then something goes wrong. Still 8th in the league before going to Norwich next saturday. Be a tough match but very happy with the start. Even if we did have enough chances to wrap it up in the first half.

Is it possible to get an unbiased view of the 2 penalties.  Ritchie says Barnsleys was a pen but Southamptons wasn't and Burleys says Southamptons was but Barnsleys wasn't.  Sounds like justice was done.

Not exactly a disastrous result for you though, think they'll be near the top 6 come the end of the season.

Wow talk about making it hard for ourselves in our 5-1 defeat. We leak goals every match so knew it was going to be hard away from home against a really strong team. So we go and have a defender sent off after 10 minutes to make things harder. Pulling one back to 2-1 gave the fans false hope because it was a bad performance. We have scored in every match though and still mid table. Hard to take that it's now two weeks to put it right. However i would expect us to against Stoke City.
