Some breaking news is Swagger was granted his release by WWE. Can't say i'm shocked he's gone but he could have been a steady hand in the mid-card for them. Wonder if many more will be going?

I saw it on my facebook feed and the time said "8 Minutes Ago" so I figured I'd come over here and create the thread, only to find out that "10 Minutes Ago" you posted about it! lol

Good on him. He isn't thinking about waiting until Wrestlemania season is over. He's being proactive about his own career and future and deserves praise for it.

Nobody can ever take away from him that he's a former world champion either.

Greatly underused. He was really over doing we the people, yet management didn't build on it.

Sad to see him go but like they did with McIntyre they dropped the ball when they were white hot and the time was right to push them.

Maybe he will be back in few years but He will most likely head to Japan where I imagine he will do well

Quote From Jim Ross Website

Not in the loop regarding the issues that apparently exist between Okie Jack Swagger and WWE but I'd guess it was likely one or both of the two, C's, cash and creative. I am not in contact with either entity involved in this issue. There is ample pro wrestling work for Swagger to immerse himself in if he gets his WWE release but I'd likely recommend that the former OU Wrestling All American refrain from getting into MMA this stage of his life. Swagger can help any pro wrestling promotion that features him and perhaps Swagger heading to Impact Wrestling might not be a bad idea.

It's an odd situation with E denying he's been released, which makes perfect sense as they haven't wished him well in future endeavours.

It would appear that Swagger jumped the gun mentioning being released and is now in limbo.

Hopefully he works out it soon so he can join his old buddy Zeb Colter in Impact.
