Quote WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Snuka has passed away at the age of 73 years old following a battle with stomach cancer, PWInsider.com is sad to report.

This really is bitter sweet. Whilst it's sad to see a true great of the business pass away, he's also got away with murder, with a little help from his friends.

However we won't go into that, let's remember Superfly for what he was good at.

Was it ever proven that he did it though?

I also don't think whether he committed the murder or not matters at this time, as this is a difficult time for the rest of the family and a huge loss to the wrestling world. This recent murder case has seemed to make people forget to realize that if it weren't for Snuka, there would be no cruiserweights, let alone high flying moves. His jump off the cage at Madison Square Garden onto Don Muraco is still to this day my favorite wrestling moment of all time and I don't know if anything will top it.

This is truly a sad day for wrestling fans everywhere.

RIP

Innocent until proven guilty is important as fuck. Even if there are fishy circumstances, breaking that tenet even from a conjecture standpoint is dangerous.

Regardless of the speculation, he was an icon of professional wrestling and it's a shame to see him gone.

Innocent until proven guilty is only important in a court of law.

This is the court of public opinion, the fucker is guilty and he's lucky he never got convicted, and so is Vince McMahon.

I think less of Snuka than I do Chris Benoit, at least Benoit has an arguable excuse.

Dunno if he did kill her or not but something didn't add up with his story, but he was an Icon of the business and influenced a lot of other wrestlers including Mick Foley.

For what he did for business R I P but I dunno if he will be getting a Halo

Can't find it but we used to have an O Is For Overated thread (and a U Is For Underated on too) and i'm sure I mentioned him in it as up there for me with Andre The Giant as one of the most overated legends ever.

He jumped off a cage but did little else. I wasn't a fan of his gimmick, mic skills or look. He never looked a main eventer.

I do feel sorry for his family though such as Tamina because not only have they lost a loved one, they will know guilty or not that his wrestling legacy has been tarnished by alegations.

Most of you will know that Jimmy the 'Superfly' passed away a few months ago, but some might not know he had a serious case of murder hanging over his head.
I only found out recently on the Solomonster and the Don & Tony shows that Snuka had serious charges of murder against him after he was said to have killed his girlfriend back in '83.
And I hear that the only reason why the judge threw out the case and dropped all charges is because he knew then that Jimmy was dying.
Is it true then that after the WWF played a tribute video to him, like they do when a former star passes away, the crowd greeted it with a mixture of boos and silence. Hardly any of them cheered or clapped ? Shocked
