from lordsofpain.net:

Thanks to Martin Ward for the following:

- Stone Cold made an appearance on Sky Sport's Soccer AM Friday morning. He was there to promote his new movie, which seems to follow the same lines as his last film. He spoke about the differences in fighting in the ring and fighting infront of the camera, and mentions how he accidentally broke a fellow actors nose in a fight scene.

Footage of his stunners on Vince and Trump at Mania 23 was shown, Stone Cold said Vince isn't the most graceful person in the ring and that Vince doesn't take a good stunner.

One of the presenters, Helen Chamberlain, mentioned the Hell In The Cell PPV tomorrow night, Austin hyped the event but said he wouldn't be able to watch it because he'd be busy promoting the movie. He then inaccurately says he's never been in a Hell In A Cell match, by my count he's been in 3 but I may be wrong.

When asked about his final match with the Rock at Mania 19, Austin mentioned how close he was with the Rock. Jokingly Austin said he was tougher than The Rock and a better actor than him.

Later in the show, as with all first time guest, Austin was asked to pick a name from a hat, that consisted of all the football teams in the Britain which would then be his team to support. Austin picked out Bolton Wanderers, a Premier League side which, funnily enough, are probably the most phsycally tough side in the Premier League.

Austin seemed to enjoy himself on the show and was well liked by the presenters and other guests.

From Jim Ross Website..........

Quote Got an email from old pal Steve Austin late last night. He's in the UK promoting his next film "Damage" which will be released imminently on DVD. I've seen the trailer and liked what I saw and plan on supporting Steve by purchasing this action packed, fight filled film when it becomes available. Many Austin fans waited some 13 hours to be a part of a signing there this week. Steve also detailed seeing his first soccer game in person and he told me that he had a blast and had a better understanding and appreciation for the game.

* Joe texted me about this last sunday which made me chuckle at the thought of Austin at Upton Park.

* For those who don't know he was at the West Ham United (who Joe Supports) and Fulham game which is a London derby.

* He said something along the lines of "If you think West Ham should open a can of whoop ass on Fulham, give me an yell yeah" haha.

Thank god he didnt say that about Millwall before the Carling cup game otherwise his brawling skills would have had to have been used.

Quote WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is scheduled to make a guest appearance on the hunting television program Drop Zone TV sometime next year. The program debuts Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. ET on the Outdoor Channel. A press release was issued with the following noted: "This season, former WWE World Champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin, will be in pursuit of his biggest whitetail ever, while comedian Killer Beaz adds his unique brand of comedy by making side-splitting commentary throughout many episodes of the show."

As far as WWE is concerned, Austin is under what has been described as a "high money" contract to the company with no particular role attached. WWE feels even if they pay Austin to simply sit at home and collect royalties off of merchandise, it is worth the investment. However, more importantly, the contract prevents Austin from jumping to a competitor, notably, USA Network competitor Spike TV.

* What an awesome contract Austin as got. He gets paid to sit at home and stay away from the competition.

* WWE use him that infrequently that he gets to do his own projects most of the time.

* I don't see Austin giving up this sort of deal anytime soon.

Adders, I doubt that we´ll see Austin on WWE TV again, seeing that they announced his HOF induction and subsequent appearance at WM25 as "Austin´s last time in a WWE Ring" (even if he was just celebrating with a few cold ones in there)

Nyte all I can say is never say never. I do believe we may see Austin once again in a WWE ring (not to wrestle). But yeah Austin has an awesome contract where he can sit at home and do nothing but still get paid for doing it, atleast it stops him jumping to TNA.
