After an agonosing 90+ days of Administration Southamptong Football Club have been pulled from the brink of the History annuals.

Markus Liebherr a Swiss billionaire said to be worth In the region of £3.5Billion.  He said the clubs support and passion drove him to push the deal forward as fast as he could.  As it now stands all the clubs debts have been cleared and the Administrators Bill (just shy of £500k) has been paid and the club look forward now to hitting the ground running come the start of the League one season to Millwall.

However Mr Liebherr has already caused waves within the club after sensationally sacking Manager Mark Wotte after just 2 of taking over the club.  What makes this move even more shocking is Wottes desire to stay on even after turning down the Egyptian National team offer.  Wottes desire to help saints was commended by many fans and was a key factor in the keeping of Kelvin Davis southamptons best goalkeeper from signing on a free to West Ham.

Wotte reportedly said he was stunned and asked why he was being sacked.  They simply replied we are starting a clean sweep of the club, to which he replied "does this mean you are going to sack every member of staff and player.

Its a tough descision to make but i felt Saint needed a British manager who is a tough nut and cant take the rough and ready of League 1.  Lets just hope this is a step forward,

Good news.

I just hope the proposed take-over of my local club and Southampton's rivals Pompey is completed soon while their is still any players left worth having.

Glen Johnson has been sold, so has Sean Davis, Sol Campbell's contract is not being renewed by the looks of it, and today they accepted a bid from Sunderland for Peter Crouch.

It seems the current and hopefully soon to be former owner is cashing in on all his prized assets before he sells the club, he started last season by making a very nice profit on both Jermaine Defoe and Diarra.

I maybe a Saint but i hate to see anyclub go under, The fact you could be losing campbell and crouch sucks.  Glen Johnson i saw coming after his recent england displays. I suppose the goodside of it is he didnt go cheap...  I hope (from a fans point of view) that you have a club to still support and love.
