Not seen the show but I know Heath Slater, Eric Young and Gallows and Anderson appeared, plus they confirmed the return of ECIII for the next Impact episode.

Gallows and Anderson have said that they had pretty much agreed to join AEW when they were unhappy in WWE but then at the last minute re-signed with WWE for the financial security which may have burned their bridges with AEW. I don't see that AEW have missed out on a big signing here though, Gallows/Anderson had been defined down in WWE as mostly jobber/interference runners for the bigger star AJ Styles. Right now AEW should be careful to avoid any talent that could be viewed as WWE rejects.

ECIII however is someone who should definitely be on the AEW radar, it's unclear if he's inked a deal with Impact or if this is a one off.

I haven't watched regularly for since around the time AJ left, not sure how long ago that was, but I'm currently working my way through Slammiversary and I will check out this weeks Impact I think.

Impact have a solid roster and the additions of Gallows/Anderson, ECIII, Eric Young and Heath Slater along with the Motor City Machine Guns are real boosts to the depth they have, seems that once again AEW have missed the boat with signing some of these talents, ECIII and MCMG are talents that AEW should have been keen to sign.

The good thing with Impact is they know what lane they are in, they are no longer run by somebody who has no idea how to run a wrestling company and is a complete fantasist thinking they can compete with WWE, now Impact are happy being a much smaller alternative, I can see them being a healthy competitor for AEW though.

The best situation for fans would be for AEW and Impact to work together, it makes sense both run a weekly tv show and occasional PPV based product, Impact tape their tv in blocks, so in effect it would give the talent rosters two places to work.

One final thing, I wish they would go back to using the TNA name, I've never liked the name Impact Wrestling and TNA is the name that carries all the company history. They've reintroduced the TNA World Title which makes me wonder if the name is coming back.

Finished watching this event now. It was decent overall I enjoyed most of what I saw. It will be remembered mostly for the returns of EY and the Motor City Machine Guns and of course the debuts of the Good Brothers and Heath Slater as well as the advertisement of ECIII coming back, but there was plenty of good wrestling here too.

I like that Impact seem to be trying to build a roster with a mix of old school stars with historic ties to the company alongside some very young up and coming talents and a few veterans like Shamrock and RVD and Rhino. There is talk of more past talents returning guys like Ken Anderson, Magnus, James Storm, Kurt Angle, Bully Ray and so forth, I would be happy to see any of them back.
