A Place for friendly banter ad discussions about the Six Nations.

Scotland and Ireland kick off today, Wanting Scotland to win (obviously) but gonna be a hard task as i think Ireland are going to win the whole thing this year.....Hoping not a grand slam but I think Ireland have to be favourites to win

England vs France I think England will win it as long as they don't expect France to still be on a bad run....They will need to knuckle down but I think England will take it by 10 points or so

Wales and Italy tomorrow is gonna be a nice warm up for the boys in red I don't expect them to be to troubled by Italy as long as they keep their heads in the game

It's hard to look past England winning this thing after last years efforts. I'm with you it's between England & Ireland taking the trophy. Howley will find a way to make us shit more often than not too. Extra incentives for players is the Lions tour this year aswell so loads to play for.

I think if Laidlaw has a good tourney he will be in, but every place is up for grabs except maybe North's place if he can stay fit he has it for sure.

Also I think Huw Jones could be one to watch this tournament

Wow Scotland beating Ireland was unexpected but I'll take it. Can't believe how relieved I was when Gregg put his boot through the ball almost stripping the leather off to make sure if he missed it went dead. Now England need to beat the French and both sides of my family will be happy

England should always win what looks like another poor quality Six Nations year.

Every side has bent the rules to fill squads with lots of foreigners who shouldn't be allowed to play but no more than Scotland.

I like the Clive Woodward piece in the Daily Mail saying Georgia should be added and rock bottom every year relegated.

I'm all for giving other nations a chance, but wouldn't it be better to make it a two tier thing, as that gives the other nations a chance to improve every year too? Italy have come on massively since it changed from the 5 to the 6 nations, and Argentina the same since they got added to the tri-nations.

I thought England were very lucky today mind....and after todays performances Italy will probably stuff us tomorrow too LOL

I didn't realise until this weekend that Italy made it a Six Nations back in 2000. Didn't think it was that long ago.

What's their record since? Can't have finished out of the bottom two at all.

I'm all for giving other nations a chance so the sport can expand and be more competitive, but it has to be worthwhile.

I don't think they have either, but they improve every year which is what it's all about for a country that is still developing in rugby terms.

The Italian teams in the Pro 12 (The domestic competition for Irish/Scottish/Welsh/Italian) teams are ever improving too.

The two tier system is what I am in favour of and the top in tier two and the bottom in teir one switch year to year. Tier two could be good for the Likes of Georgia, Japan, USA, Canada, Romania and Spain.

Also I think Scotland and Wales have about 11 each players in their 31 man squads that are "non Native" so either born elsewhere to Parents of said Nation or qualify through ancestry (Grandparents and such).
