When Matt Hardy appeared on the Peep Show, Christian seemed to foreshadow a heel-turn.  The WWE had been rumored to be thinking of having a top face turn heel, but the names given were Kofi Kingston and MVP.  But could the face that’s turning be Captain Charisma?

Christian actually spent the majority of his WWF/E career as a heel.  Yet since his return to the company, he has been a solid face.  On WWECW, he was a 2-time champion… but on Smack Down he’s more like Captain Mid-Card.

At first it seemed like his role on SD took a backseat to his role on NXT1.  But with the end of NXT1, Christian really seemed adrift.  When he was seemingly paired with Hornswoggle it really was looking very bad.

Yet that small screen time with Matt Hardy showed a spark that has been missing from Christian.  Hardy is seriously over as a face with the crowd.  Anyone that stands across from Hardy is at a major advantage for getting some heat from the crowd.  Christian always seemed more comfortable as the heel and agitating the crowd.  It really felt like when he got that first hint of heat from the crowd, he sparked and came back to life.

Matt Hardy and Drew McIntyre just doesn’t interest me.  Drew doesn’t seem to be progressing with Hardy as a foe.  For somebody that seems to be predestined to move up the roster, Drew needs this feud to end and go away quickly.  Hardy and Christian could be just the answer.

The Peep Show spot really laid the foundation.  Both men have similar WWE resumes: numerous tag team titles; former ECW champion; former IC champions; and former US champions. And both men have put on legendary ladder matches.  In short, these two guys could steal the show at Money in the Bank.  In fact, Christian-Hardy could be a feud that runs until Survivor Series.  Unless Christian were to win MITB... Anyone hoping for Christian vs. Rey Mysterio at SummerSlam?

I voted yes simply because I've always liked Christian as a Heel.I like him as a Face as well, but Heel Christian is just better to me.I know it'll probably never happen, but I would love Christian to turn Heel, then in the future confront Edge and say Edge was right about not caring what the fans think and reform E&C.That would be epic to me.

Personally I have never gotten into the heel christian I  think that maybe neither should go heel have a face vs face match up particulary a ladder match between these 2 would be excellent.

I think this forum overstates Christian's importance to WWE.

Anyway, I voted 'maybe', if it was similar to his last heel run in WWE where he was treated like a star for a while and repeatedly owned Cena time and time again, as well as having some brilliant matches in the main event, then I would be down for it. I have no faith in WWE doing that though, he is a mid-carder now and isn't high priority for a push, IMO.

He has fans support as a face, he is over despite not really having much to do since he returned to WWE and gets good pops, so I'd probably lean more in the way of keeping him as a face ATM.

I'll be honest. I know that this site was named after him and naturally there are a lot of Peeps on here; and yes he has improved a lot and he made a good strong ECW Champion; but I'd have to say Christian has been in general overrated for the past five years (everywhere), and I think the upper/mid card is where he should be. So to answer your question, no, I don't want to see Christian vs Rey at SummerSlam, unless Rey has lost the belt by then and it is a mid card or Intercontinental Title match.

As for if he should turn heel, I'm indifferent to it. Christian can play both a face and a heel well; so i'll enjoy seeing him in either capacity. But if he does before he does turn heel, I first want him to have that long awaited feud with Edge.

Keep him as a face. He is super-over and I think he found his niche in TNA as a edgy babyface character, in other words hes a face but is not to unlike his heel persona, he just drops the cowardly elements. If he was on Raw I would say maybe turn him heel simply to reunite him with Edge as a two-man faction, but on SD I would keep him babyface and elevate him to the main-events.

Sadly I dont see Christian ever main-eventing in WWE, Money in the Bank will be the deciding factor, if he doesn't win I will be convinced more than ever that he is a mid-carder for life in WWE.
Vince Mcmahon is repulsed by Christian's ordinary look and physique and is convinced he cannot be marketed as a headliner. I think the same can be said of Matt Hardy, although I think Hardy's lack of mic-skills could also be a factor, he doesn't have half of Christian's charisma.

This weeks promo featuring the pair was almost a shoot-promo where they touched on the fact that both men have been held back over the years and have been the victim of politics despite paying their dues over and over, while guys like Drew Mcintyre have been rushed into high-profile spots without earning it.

They could use this as a vehicle for a Matt Hardy heel turn, have him become whiney in his promos and have him bitch about the politics and how hes always been held back because he doesn't look like Drew Mcintyre or have a physique like John Cena, or isnt married to the boss's daughter. This could then lead to a feud with Christian.

I think Christian should turn heel because he's so much more charismatic as heel than face.
Also, he has a better character as heel (:

In WWE Christian isn't going anywhere as much as we like to see him elevated it's not gonna ever happen. I feel if he turns heel all he's gonna do is do the same crap he did the last time he was in WWE & then he may leave again for TNA.
Trags for HOF'er !

Now, I’m rethinking my own poll.  I have to admit I would much rather see Matt Hardy turn heel right now.  Maybe Matt Hardy Version 2.0?  I can easily see a heel Hardy suddenly becoming mentor to the team of Hawkins & Archer (that team really needs a name.)  I would avoid having a complete return to the whole Mattitude bit, he can’t become the leader of a new movement because that’s CM Punk’s bit now.

This could then lead to a big match at Survivor Series.  I think a Survivor Series elimination tag match with a Hardy-lead team vs. a Christian-lead team.  But I would have them fighting for more than just pride; I’m thinking the winning team captain should also earn an IC title shot.

Hardy, Hawkins & Archer being the heels, could go the whole ‘mystery’ partner route leading up to Survivor Series.  Christian would pull in the team of MVP & JTG; and some other guy as their fourth.  The ‘mystery’ partner could in any direction: an established heel, a returning talent, a ‘shocking’ heel turn, or maybe even Christian’s fourth guy would turn on him.

Of course this would never happen… it would require creative to actually be thinking in advance and doing something with two mid-card stars that are way over with the crowds.

*Hawkins and Archer already have a team name, Thundarr. They got named (The) 'Dudebusters'.

Underwhelming, I know.
