Agree 100% with you there.

When he was in NXT even though I wasn't his biggest fan I kind of anticipated his matches and appearances because they adopted the special attraction less is more approach with him so every thing he did felt special and his matches had a big fight feel every time.

On the main roster he has lost this aura, he appears every week so while he may not do much that aura he had in NXT has faded. Also he doesn't seem to be hitting his stride in the ring, as you said when you only have a mediocre match with Dolph Ziggler something is wrong and his match last night with Corbin was a complete dud.

If I was WWE take a Lesnar approach with him, he doesn't need to show up every week and make every match he has seem a big deal. Putting him in low card offerings against guys like Corbin isn't helping and he definitely shouldn't be working throwaway tag matches on Smackdown, they would have been better served to put him in programmes with Owens and AJ.

Quote Shinsuke Nakamura does an interview backstage where he's asked about his attack on AJ Styles on Sunday. Nakamura says he doesn't know what came over him, and he's very sorry, but he winks as he says it. Renee Young asks him again why he attacked him, and Nakamura says he doesn't speak English and walks off.

AJ Styles vs. Daniel Bryan: This one is a non-Title match. AJ starts off with a side headlock, and then a shoulder tackle on Bryan. AJ and Bryan wrestle up to their feet, then Bryan connects with several kicks on AJ. Bryan starts working over AJ's shoulder, then hits some European uppercuts. They run the ropes and AJ hits a dropkick that sends Bryan rolling outside. AJ follows up with a suicide dive on Bryan to the outside. Back in the ring, they trade elbows until Bryan whips AJ into the corner and follows up with a splash. Bryan misses a shot in the corner, and AJ capitlizes with his moonsault into a reverse DDT for a two count. Bryan and AJ trade strikes on their feet again until Bryan hits a slam and goes right into an arm bar. They wrestle around the mat and Bryan looks for the Yes Lock, but he can't execute it. Bryan misses a shot and AJ hits the Pele Kick and then a lariat for a two count. AJ misses a shot off the top and Bryan kicks him. Bryan leads the crowd in a "Yes" chant then charges, but AJ trips him and looks for a Styles Clash. Bryan fights out and puts him in the Yes Lock, and AJ reaches the ropes to break it. Bryan hangs AJ upside down in the corner and repeatedly kicks him in the midsection. Bryan takes AJ up top and goes for a back suplex, but AJ reverses and lands on Bryan's head. Shinsuke Nakamura comes in to interfere and he knees Bryan in the head. Nakamura then turns his attention to AJ and hits a series of strikes on the Champion. Nakamura hits a low blow on him, then the running knee to the face.

Winner via DQ: Daniel Bryan

- Nakaura picks up AJ, then drops to his knees and hits yet another low blow on Styles. Nakamura smiles and heads to the back as referees check on AJ in the ring.

Great pop for his line about not speaking English, as he speaks ENGLISH to Renee LOL

Early signs in the heel role are good. Instead of his usual epileptic fit persona, he was more sinister.

He took out two of the top guys on the brand and was last man standing. He looked a star.

This is what he needs.

I know Rico gets annoyed by my opinion on Nakamura but i still state that he has been average and boring upto now on the main roster.

This heel turn could allow him to express his personality on the mic as well as in the ring (he wont be playing up the strong style shit all the time)

His thirty seconds of backstage promo on Smackdown this week was better than any promo he’s done to date. His crazy heel mannerisms are entertaining. So far I’m on board with the Nakamura heel turn.

Will be interesting to see what they do with the ‘rock star’ entrance, I would say keep it the same and just have him ham it up more than ever to the point of being obnoxious.

I just hope the heel turn improves his matches.

I agree the interview was an entertaining trip. He acted like he was above answering Rene. The ironic thing is that his English is actually getting better.

I like him as a bad guy. This character is interesting.

I would have preferred, however, to have a real winner for a match like that. But aye, they are probably saving Styles vs Bryan down the road for a pay per view.

Thing is I have always liked Nakamura in the ring. I like his athleticism and technique; and the strong style, even watered down, is a breath of fresh air within the "WWE style." But I could see him taking the obnoxiousness he displayed in the interview and channeling it into his in ring mannerisms. Plus being a bad guy might give him tendencies that are a little more aggressive.

I hope the heel turn works otherwise I feel he's been pretty undeserving of his role.

Phoney bad guy though because he's missing the cocktail stick LOL

Quote AJ Styles & Daniel Bryan vs. Rusev & Aiden English: Bryan and English start things off with a lock up, and fans are already chanting for Bryan. Bryan gets the upper hand and unloads with strikes on English. Bryan puts English in a surfboard before tagging in AJ. AJ comes off the top onto English and continues to beat on him. English starts mounting a comeback, as the fans duel chants for both teams. AJ hits a gutbuster on Aiden, which prompts Rusev to run in and Bryan to run in and stop Rusev. AJ puts English in the Calf Crusher and Bryan puts Rusev in the Yes Lock simultaneously. Rusev and English finally break free and roll out to ringside for a breather. Back in the ring, English gets the advantage over AJ until AJ stuns English with a Pele Kick, and both men are down. Bryan and Rusev get the tags and Bryan unloads on Rusev with strikes. Bryan springboards off the turnbuckle and hits a clothesline on Rusev. Bryan is fired up and shakes the ropes before hitting the running dropkick on Rusev. Bryan looks for the Yes Lock but Rusev puts up a fight until English breaks it up. Bryan throws English outside, then blocks a big boot from Rusev. Bryan takes Rusev down with a dragon screw, then unloads on him with Yes Kicks. Bryan follows up with the running knee to the face on Rusev, and Rusev is hurt. Nakamura comes out of nowhere and low-blows AJ from behind while AJ is on the apron, and the ref doesn't see it. Bryan sees what happened and Nakamura laughs. Bryan turns around into a big boot from Big Cass out of nowhere. Cass stands over Bryan on the mat and raises his hand in the air as Nakamura backs up the ramp.

Winners via DQ: AJ Styles & Daniel Bryan

- We go to replays as the announcers talk about Big Cass making his return from a knee injury. Renee Young tries to interview Nakamura on the stage about why he attacked AJ again, but Nakamura doesn't answer. Nakamura heads to the back as Cass is still standing over Bryan in the ring, and SmackDown goes off the air.

I don't think Renee will try interviewing him a third time, now she's been told twice that he doesn't speak English LOL

The low blow seems to be his main way to be heelish. I hope AJ isn't trying for baby number five LOL

This maniacal Nakamura is already 10000000% times more interesting than anything else he has ever done in WWE.

Couldn't agree more!

I mean I did enjoy his early NXT days, but he never quite topped his first match with Sami Zayn at TakeOver: Dallas, and to me, in terms of quality in performance and emotion, he still hasn't.

I'm really digging this new take on his gimmick though. His facial expressions are amazing!

Wonder if he'll get a new theme?
