From Jim Ross website.........

Quote Lots of folks asking about HBK. I have been in email communication with Shawn over the past few weeks and he seems to be feeling much better, but my sense is that he is still a few months away from returning to in ring action. I expect he will start training in a more aggressive way around September 1 and will likely make his return sometime this fall. I know we all miss him on Raw and he is one of the most influential leaders in the locker room. The young wrestlers should always listen when HBK talks and I have always stressed that every young talent thoroughly study Shawn Michael’s DVDs, etc if they truly want to master their craft. I do not believe that because a guy simply looks good in an 8X10 that he has a chance to be a star. Size is a non issue in the way I judge talent and HBK is a testament to that personal philosophy. Skill, passion, and charisma far and away outweigh big bodies. That is my story and I am sticking to it.

I am missing Shawn while he takes this well earned time out. A guy who's had so many injuries over the year should not have still been wrestling with a bad knee for all those extra months. But I guess he and also management didn't want him missing Wrestlemania 23. When he comes back he's a fued with Randy waiting to happen and that can take him upto Wrestlemania 24 which is seen as the end of the wrestling calendar year. It says something when a top heavy show like Raw is still missing someone.

I think Smackdown could use Shawn Michaels more than anything. They could have some sort of big trade announcement and make the switch. RAW is very top heavy right now, and HBK reutrning to the A show would just unbalance the scales more so than they already are.

From Jim ross website.........

Quote HBK definitely has the opportunity to be a WWE Champion, etc again once he is healthy and back at it. I would be shocked if HBK was not a WWE Champion again before he hangs it up. I don’t expect for HBK to be "back at it" for several weeks as I don’t expect him to be able to begin training until the end of August or the early part of September. His eventual return is TBD.

Well like you said Skit, putting him on Smackdown would be a good thing. Although with Naitch already there, will HHH want to lose another of his best mates from the number one brand? Would Shawn lose his smile if told to move? I would rather him be on Smackdown with all them new fueds he could have. If he stays on Raw on his comeback, who can he face in a money match that he hasn't already?

I would imagine Trips might want to keep Shawn close by so he can have his buddy by his side. Of course, Triple H is the kind of guy that knows what would be best for someone's career. If he was any friend at all he would tell Shawn that HBK would be top dog on Smackdown while HHH runs Raw. The two friends would be on top of their respective brands. OR Trips might want Shawn on Raw so he could feud with him again.

Quote To update you on Shawn Michaels, even with the lack of depth in the WWE roster, he's not expected to return right now. WWE did contact Michaels, but word is either Shawn was not either  ready or not receptive to returning ahead of schedule.
thats pretty smart of him, he needs to heal, having being competing with a bad knee for so long, he needs to make sure its 100% so he can come back with a bang.

When he returns he should be in a major title hunt. He's just the kind of guy that really gets the people excited when it's time for a title chase.

Quote Jim Ross Website: I have no heard a definitive date on HBK's return, but I assume it will be in or around November. I hear Shawn is healing well but still has significant work to do before he is able to step back in the ring and be Shawn Michaels. We really miss HBK on Raw I can assure you but I hope he doesn't rush his return and can be 100% healthy when he does come back.
he has been saying the same thing for ages now, why keep talking about it if you have nothing new to say? anyways i hope he comes back in time for 24, it wont be the same without him.

Quote For those that have asked, there are no plans as of now for a Shawn Michaels return. When he went out for knee surgery initial estimates had him returning to WWE in November. However, Michaels is a family man that is said to be thoroughly enjoying his time at home. He is also said to be very pleased with his career in the ring. This does not mean that he is finished although he has not given any indications that he is in a rush to return. The feeling backstage is that Triple H took him to Ohio Valley Wrestling a couple of weeks ago to try and get the business back in his blood.

If Michaels does return sometime this fall it will most likely be in a feud with Randy Orton. This would make sense due to the fact that Orton put him out with a "concussion" a few months back. It should be noted, however, that there are no guarantees and it could be significantly longer before we see the Heart Break Kid back in the ring.

I reckon HHH took him to OVW because there's few better to talk about what's needed to make it in the business than Shawn and so he can spend time with his good mate. I don't think the business isn't in his blood as much these days. He signed a new five I think year contract last year and so there's plenty of life in the old dog yet. Once it gets around to the rush part of year with two big events in three months, he will be back for the big pay make no mistake.

Shawn was asked to go to S/D when Batista got injured, he was offered the title and a extended run with the belt, he turned it down, he was WWEs first choice this year when Undertaker got injured, again he turned it down, fortunately WWEs second choice Edge saw it as a golden opportunity(and a chance to get away from HHH)and grabbed it with both hands. Shawn sees Smackdown as the no2 brand(which it is in reality)and does not want to leave the flagship show as he believes that as one of WWE premier performers he should be on the A-show not the B-show. He also likes working with his buddy HHH. I think its a shame Shawn has this somewhat arrogant attitude as their is so much he could do on Smackdown and so many fresh matches and feuds waiting for him there. Anyway i expect him to return late this year or early next year on Raw, maybe he should work a reduced schedule with his catologue of injuries.

Quote Jim Ross Website: HBK is doing amazing well with his physical recovery and I expect to see him back before the end of this calendar year, perhaps even by Survivor Series if we are all fortunate. I sure miss HBK's skills and talent on Raw.
well it would be great for him to be back at survivor series, he can have a surpraise come back on raw, and qualify for the survivor series team. hopefully they do it properly this time and have two 5 on 5 matches, but make it really good like the year before last. they could have qualifly matches and have triple h, michaels, jeff hardy, cena and tommy dreamer vs ken keneady, king booker, umaga, snitsky and kevin thorn. also matt hardy, kane, batista, undertaker and stevie richards vs mvp, mark henry, finly, the great khali and the miz.
