His return for me has been an highlight of the year so far and his pop is just as strong now many weeks down the line.

He doesn't have to appear every week and then when we see him it will be more significant.

At the big four events I can see him having the odd match or being a ref, outside enforcer ect.

They're gonna need some strong heels ASAP.

I wonder if it's time yet to flip Cena heel?

He said when he got to be in charge of Smackdown that it's about the superstars not him, yet now he's taking away a place of a full time guy by putting himself in a big four match Confused

Dissapointing the Scottish crowd lapped it up with YES chants because it was the kinda decision that deserved to be booed.

I don't mind the occasional Shane O match but I hope someone next week gets to bring up what an hypocrite he's been booked as.

I like Shane he's charismatic and a likeable guy and has established himself well as a babyface character since his return, but he needs to stay out of the ring as a much as possible.

I don't mind a once in a blue moon match to put someone over but he shouldn't be stealing the spotlight at major events anymore. For example at Wrestlemania he would be much better served to endorse a Smackdown talent perhaps in some sort of Raw vs SD challenge match rather than climbing in the ring himself. Shane is a pretty limited in ring performer and is approaching fifty years old, his talents are best utilised in a non-wrestling role.

Taz on his show this week basically said my thoughts in that he's good on Talking Smack where his personality can shine more.

He's bound to be putting over someone at Wrestlemania but it's not obvious who it is yet. Maybe it's Baron Corbin as many times they have had interaction especially on Talking Smack, that can easily be added to Smackdown.

Kinda off topic but would love to see the room he keeps all his trainers in LOL

I'm not sure where he's going with this storyline with Daniel Brian I feel like Brian is about to replaced soon as GM if not then I could see some kind of match or at least both of them picking a superstar to represent them since Brian can't get into the ring.

Bryan has sent a few tweets out lately talking about wrestling again so maybe they will give in to him (he has also been cleared by Doctors) and allow him to wrestle.

Wrestling Shane would be a pretty safe first match to go back into in my opinion as Shane is not that technical so Bryan wouldnt be in that much danger of injury

Since the day he 'retired' Bryan started putting feelers out to see what other companies would let him wrestle.

The answer was all of them.

He's been running down his contract as a GM. He's not happy in his current role. WWE have responded by initially trying to rush Brie Bella back into the ring in the hopes of keeping Daniel Bryan that way but we now are at the point where the expectation is that WWE will have to get him back in the ring to keep it.

It still may not be enough.

Quote  Shane McMahon suffers several injuries while being attacked by Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn on SmackDown LIVE

After announcing he would be taking an indefinite leave of absence from his role as SmackDown LIVE Commissioner, Shane McMahon was brutally attacked by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, whom he had just placed into a match against each other at WrestleMania. McMahon suffered several injuries during the attack, WWE.com can confirm.

“He sustained a laryngeal contusion when the steel chair was wrapped around his head and thrown into the turnbuckle,” WWE medical staff said.

KO & Zayn continued the onslaught by dragging McMahon to the back and powerbombing him onto a metal rack, resulting in further injuries.

“He was then thrown onto the metal rack, which resulted in trapezius and rhomboid strains,” medical staff continued.

McMahon is currently being evaluated to make sure his airway is not compromised. Further updates on McMahon’s status are expected in the next 24 hours. Stick with WWE.com for more details as they become available

Still think he will either add himself or Bryan will add him to the match at Mania and have it as a handicap or triple threat match

WWE.com released an article on Monday announcing Shane McMahon has been hospitalized with diverticulitis.

Check out WWE's complete announcement via their official website below:

Shane McMahon hospitalized with diverticulitis

Shane McMahon is currently recovering from acute diverticulitis and an umbilical hernia in a New York-area medical facility, WWE.com has learned.

Two weeks ago on SmackDown LIVE, McMahon announced he would be taking an indefinite leave of absence from his position as the blue brand's Commissioner. Following that announcement, McMahon was brutally attacked by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. WWE medical staff initially diagnosed him with a laryngeal contusion and trapezius and rhomboid strains as a result of the beating.

Following the vicious assault, McMahon went to the Caribbean with his family to rest and recuperate. While there, Shane developed a massive infection due to acute diverticulitis and was hospitalized for several days in Antigua before being flown back to a New York-area hospital, where he is currently being treated with heavy doses of antibiotics. The doctors in New York have also discovered that Shane suffered an umbilical hernia during the attack, which will require surgery once the infection has been eradicated.

Stick with WWE.com for further updates on Shane McMahon's status as they become available.

We all know how tough Shane is, but it's a surprise he's got a match at Wrestlemania, even though a card can be subject to change.

Brock is a proper athlete, but diverticulitus ended his UFC career and on top of that Shane has a hernia.

I want Shane in a match to get the payoff to months of work. But I don't think he's anything like a sure thing to be involved.
