What else is off the table, or at least held off for a year, is the idea of a Shield triple threat match for the world title. Honestly, they had the opportunity with Seth Rollins' title reign and everything he'd done since betraying the Shield up to the WrestleMania cash-in to pretty much turn Seth into a major ruthless villain. Had they done that, we wouldn't be talking about a Shield reunion right now because we'd be talking about a blood feud between the three that could extend off and on for a good 5-7 years. The trouble with that is they obviously either had something else in the cards or had no idea what they were doing.

The way Seth had been booked as champion, as basically a cowardly pawn to the "Disappointed Mom and Dad of the WWE" aka Stephanie and Hunter, has done more to get people (including myself) heated at the company for making him be too weak as well as made him more sympathetic. Between that and the way everything with SummerSlam and Cena's nose went down with them all being forced to have Seth basically wrestle as the face except for the finish, then the Sting-kisses-up-to-HHH mind games, Sheamus threatening to cash in on him, wrestling twice in a row at Night of Champions and actually beating Sting clean, then beating Kane clean at Hell in a Cell, not to mention the fact that the Authority was whittled down to Seth, Mom and Dad, it's almost as if somewhere along the line the story veered off course somewhere into a build for Seth to eventually either get kicked out or turn on the Authority and thus become face and feud with Triple H. And honestly, I think they just guaranteed that would be the new direction.

When Seth went down, no later than the first segment on Raw did Triple H start looking for a new man to be his hood ornament. And he went instantly to Roman Reigns, one of the very brothers Hunter had asked Seth to betray in the first place. Who did he eventually go with? None other than his workout buddy Sheamus O'Shaunessy, pulling the very cash-in he'd threatened to do to Seth and doing so with Hunter's approval. Now watch how quickly Sheamus or Hunter throw Seth under the bus come tonight's Raw. Also watch how quickly a new Authority roster gets built up, most likely including King Barrett and Kevin Owens. This will guarantee that Seth Rollins is not coming back as a pro-Authority heel.

This isn't Bully Ray Dudley denying that he ever cared about his longtime partner and brother Devon a week after Devon gets kicked out of TNA despite the fact that they reconciled to run Aces & Eights in the first place. Seth's not gonna come by and do a one-stop run-in to support the Authority at a live event special in a couple of months. This is Triple freakin' H we're talking about. Selling people out, manipulating and stepping on people, is what he's done his entire career.

If Seth's return doesn't consist of screwing the Authority over, gearing up to fight Helmsley at SummerSlam '16, and apologizing to his brothers for chairing them in the back if they're both still face, I will loudly proclaim that Mr. and Mrs. Stephanie still have a golden shovel, because the idea that Seth Rollins would crawl back to them after all that will be a worse burial of his character than anything that could happen in a match.

These two have been brilliantly booked recently. What a refreshing change having a talent not forgetting the past and still holding a grudge.

Dean is a loner character so him leaving the ring without acknowledging Seth I don't have a problem with.

They were on the same page during the match and that's all that mattered to Ambrose.
