Quote According to WrestleVotes, Sasha Banks has reportedly re-signed a contract with WWE over the last week or so to remain with the company "for years to come." The report adds that Banks is expected to remain a critical piece for the women's division as she is very popular with young fans and moves a lot of merchandise as well.

Great news for the division. Not great news for her man if he wanted to become a dad anytime soon LOL

I think she's just happy to be there. It doesn't seem to bother her however she's used and I doubt renewing her contract would have taken that long.

With the additional cash coming into the company and the fact she's proven herself, she's bound to have signed on for more cash. "For" years to come could be a play that she's signed for four years.

Terrible gauntlet match after having seen the last one by the men a few months back. Shame too as the talent could have given a lot more.

Quote There appears to be no concrete news on why Sasha Banks is off of TV. At first, it was being reported that she was suffering from an injury, but WWE's latest statement only suggests that she is off TV due to "medical reasons", according to Wrestling Observer Radio. The fact that WWE is not specifically indicating her injury is leading some to conclude that there is more going on there.

What sort of medical reason would have her at the venue, but not wrestling? It's a waste of time her turning up.

Fans are going to speculate like when the same was said for Becky a while ago and people thought she's probably had an abortion.

Hopefully she's ready to compete soon, as it would be a shame for her to miss out on so many big upcoming shows.

Glad to see her as the next featured opponent for Rousey. I mean, obviously she's not going to win or anything, but she deserves to get a bit of a push further up the card again after doing so much time in the trenches jobbing the last year or two. Hopefully she does well with what she's given and she gets some momentum again. She's still my favorite of the NXT Horsewomen.

It's a fresh match and something I'm all for hopefully sasha and Ronda get about 15 for their match and I'm expecting a good one regardless of the finish.

Quote Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax: Bayley and Tamina are both at ringside for this one. Sasha immediately takes the fight to Nia in this one, and then she locks in a guillotine choke. Nia comes back with a suplex, then she works on keeping Sasha grounded. Sasha fights back with a kick, and they spill out to ringside, where Tamina and Bayley get into it now. The distraction leads to Nia gorilla press slamming Sasha on to some production equipment at ringside. They're slow to get back in the ring, where Nia hits a sit-out powerbomb for a two count. Nia continues the offense until Sasha hits a neckbreaker and then goes up top. Sasha hits a flying knee for a two count. Sasha looks for the Banks Statement, but Nia escapes. Nia misses a punch, but she connects with the Samoan Drop. They fight into the corner, and Nia hits a facebuster on to the turnbuckle. Nia follows up with a punch and then she looks for a leg drop, but Sasha rolls out of the way. Tamina starts to get involved, but Bayley takes her out. Sasha and Nia fight out to the apron, and Nia runs into the ring post. Sasha looks for a hurricanrana, but Nia throws her down to the floor instead and Sasha hits the floor hard. Sasha is the first one to her feet despite just landing on the floor, and back in the ring she applies the Banks Statement and Nia taps out.

Winner: Sasha Banks

It was great seeing her nowhere near Bayley and being her own person for a change.

She's going to get built up better than she has been for ages, just to be fed to Ronda.

It's a positive start to the new year for her.
