Quote Sasha Banks vs. Tamina: Nia Jax and Bayley are at ringside for this one. Tamina starts off strong and pummels on Sasha in the corner. Sasha fights back and hits a running knee strike in the corner on Tamina. Tamina fires back with a headbutt, but then she misses a splash and Sasha fights back. Tamina looks for a Samoan Drop, but Sasha reverses into a sleeper attempt. Tamina throws Sasha off and looks for a superkick, but Sasha dodges it. Tamina misses a spear in the corner and Sasha takes her down. Sasha applies the Banks Statement, but Nia pulls Tamina out of the ring by the leg to break the hold. Bayley comes over and Nia throws her down. Sasha hits a flying knee strike off the apron on Nia. Back in the ring, Nia cheap-shots Sasha behind the ref's back, and Tamina hits a superkick for the three count.

Winner: Tamina

Anyone see anything but a five minute squash where the champions retain on Sunday?

They are the first ever champions but little seems to be getting done that can help the champs elevate the belt.

I would pop for a big swerve Sunday of new champions, Bayley/Sasha blame eachother for the loss, they batter eachother like they never have before and we get them one on one at long last at Wrestlemania.

But then they couldn't get beat for the titles by Marina Shafir and Jessamin Duke.

Quote Sasha Banks and Bayley are in the ring with their Tag Title belts for an in-ring interview. They say they're open to challenge anyone, and they'll be on SmackDown tomorrow. Natalya and Beth Phoenix come out to interrupt and get on the mic. Beth talks about watching Sasha and Bayley and being proud of them, but Nia Jax and Tamina have "awoken the dragon" with their actions. Beth says that her and Natalya want to compete for the Tag Titles at WrestleMania. Bayley points out that Beth has been retired for 6 years, and competition has evolved since her days, and she may need more time to prepare than there is left before WrestleMania. Natalya and Sasha exchange words now, then they start trading punches. Beth shoves Bayley down next, then a referee gets in and separates them.

- Natalya vs. Sasha Banks: Back from the break, Natalya drops Sasha and then applies an abdominal stretch. Sasha comes back with a roll-up and then a running knee strike in the corner. Nia Jax comes out to the stage with a mic to interrupt and talks trash about accomplishing more than Beth Phoenix has, and calls her jealous. Tamina then attacks Beth from behind at ringside. She also hits Sasha and Bayley, and the ref calls for the bell.

Winner via DQ: Sasha Banks

 - Natalya checks on Beth at ringside after the match, and a ref checks on Sasha and Banks.

Their best work yet as part of a team and the more edgy route they should take going forward.

Bayley was lovely and snide about Beth and she was right. Not only as she not wrestled in six year so shouldn't be expected to keep up with younger full time ladies, but she got into the HOF facing women like Kelly Kelly and Candice Michelle and one of the hottest divas ever Eve Tores.

As the fighting champions you want your babyfaces to be, it's good they plan on being on Smackdown tonight to square up with Peyton and Billie.

It'll be good to see the Divas of Doom back in action again, in what I'm assuming will be a 4-fourway against DoD, Iiconics, and Tamina & Jax.

I really dont get why people clamour so much to see older wrestlers so much yet then complain when newer blood doesnt get the chance to show what they can do.

This isnt a go at anyone in particular but just WWE fans as a whole. The spot taken by them could be given to someone else and boost their career instead of to some old timer who fancies another pay day

Who??? There's only 4 tag teams worth a damn and one of them are in the process of splitting up (Mandy & Sonja). In all likelihood this would be a triple threat match without Divas of Doom, and this brings in Natty who deserves a spot more than most of the women on the roster.

That's exactly my point.

WWE would rather bring  back Beth instead of building another credible team that people can get behind long term.

Like Io Shirai & Kairi Sane, and Jessamin Duke & Marina Shafir?

The womens division has been growing in leaps and bounds, but it's still pretty sparse to have a tag division on top of it's singles division.

In this case I really don't think it's about a returning 'legend' nearly so much as it is just not having that many people to work with anyways.

Maybe what this is really about is Natty being done some favors on her way out? It's very possible this is Natty's final wrestlemania in the ring and she wants to have another match with Beth Phoenix and this is their way to granting her that wish before she becomes a producer or trainer. Or maybe not, maybe Natty isn't transitioning to a backstage role at all and it has nothing to do with her. We don't really know.

I don't think WWE is about is about to form a 4th tag team just for the sake of turning a match at wrestlemania into a fatal fourway. There's no point in doing that. However if the intention is to get Natty involved with the match, and it's just a 1-off occurrence then Beth Phoenix makes the most sense.

I think WWE is in the process of building their women's tag division in NXT. I would expect to see both the Japanese girls and the rest of the 4 horsewomen on the main roster after wrestlemania or at least attending PPVs for a match so that the division feels more diverse.

the problem has been that the women's tag titles are doing more work than any other title, since it's being defended on Raw, SDL and NXT, so instead of bringing up women from NXT to the main roster and having them fight for the tag titles at that level, they're getting to in NXT.

definitely feel a trick was missed by not having Fox and Cross form an actual team, but they'd fucked Cross up anyway by first not having her come up with Sanity, and then not having any version of Sanity around for her to latch onto when she did come up.

right now, the women's tag division on the main roster is limited, but there is plenty of potential right now in NXT, and hopefully once the push for the Rousey match is over, and we're not getting promo material for it on both Raw and Smackdown, there might be room for those women to come up and expand the female roster.

Quote Both WrestleVotes and Ryan Satin are reporting that Sasha Banks and Bayley were "laying on the floor" in front of the lockerroom at Sunday's WrestleMania and back at their hotel rooms later that night, "loudly making it known" that they were upset at losing their Women's Tag Team titles at the PPV.
-- Satin originally reported it and WrestleVotes chimed in saying he heard the same thing but didn't report it as it seemed to unbelievable to be true. As noted before, Banks has been given some time away to cool off as she was much more vocal on social media showing her displeasure but not specifically referencing what it was that was causing her to feel that way.

They should be ashamed of themselves. Little kids having a tantrum lay on the floor and make a scene.

To do that any time is unprofessional, but on the biggest day in the industry, where fans might see, they need punishing.

I don't think either would be such a big loss and it would freshen up the division by making space for some new ladies to be given a chance.
