They have both entered themselves in the battle royal.

This would be a good match for the show after mania I think; long term booking is nothing to sniff at really. Also means someone else can win the battle royal.

I would prefer to see this as a singles match, but those battle royals are just going to be a time sink, and there's too many matches on the card already.

Quote The reason that Sasha Banks vs. Bayley was not included as a singles match according to a source in WWE is simply due to time constraints and the Women's battle royal needing some star power. With 14 matches already scheduled and the announcement of the inaugural women's battle royal, WWE felt the Sasha/Bayley story could be furthered with them being two of the stronger talent who will appear in the battle royal, especially with Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax, Asuka, Charlotte and Ronda Rousey booked in other matches.

That makes sense. Instead of it being lost on a stacked card, save it for another event where it can stand out more and have more chance to shine.

The storyline gives the women's battle royal a bit more meaning and I suspect Sasha will eliminate Bayley, who I see as the most likely for the singles win.

I don't see either of them winning the match, as they don't need it to help their story.

I could easily picture Bayley eliminating Sasha and then Sasha getting back in the ring and eliminating Bayley.

I can see this too - the feud is only just starting and nothing would ignite it more unless of course it comes down to the two of them to see who wins

Is Carmella in the battle royal? That'd be another good meaningless win for her to get.

i expect Ruby Riott to win the battle royal - her stable needs a little bit of credibility back after recent losses

How would the elimination count if she's already been eliminated? Sasha from the outside could distract Bayley for someone to take her from the match. But you couldn't have it count if Sasha got back in the ring to chuck Bayley over the top rope.

Quote Bayley is in the back getting ready to come down to the ring.

- Sonya Deville vs. Bayley: The rest of Absolution is at ringside for this one. Sonya hits a leg kick and Bayley backs off. Bayley comes back with a headlock takedown and then a running cross body. Sonya comes back with strikes, but Bayley shuts her down with a snake eyes in the corner and an elbow to the face. Bayley hits a cross body off the middle rope for a two count. Bayley and Sonya brawl on the mat until Sonya takes control with a series of knee strikes. Bayley fires up with elbows to the face then stomps a mud hole in her in the corner. Bayley goes up top and hits a flying cross body, then a running knee to the face. Sonya rolls outside and Bayley follows. They fight back up onto the apron where Bayley hits a shot to the face, but then Bayley gets distracted by Mandy on the apron. Sonya grabs Bayley from behind, but Bayley reverses and rolls up Sonya in a pin for the three count.

Winner: Bayley

- After the match, Mandy hits the ring and starts beating down Bayley with Sonya. Sasha Banks comes out for the save and they clear the ring. Sasha and Bayley start arguing and get in each other's faces. Bayley and Sasha start throwing punches to the face now and Bayley tackles her. Mandy and Sonya hit the ring again and beat down both Bayley and Sasha. Mandy and Sonya leave Sasha and Bayley laying, then head backstage with Paige.

Heelish E booking to not give us a full on brawl between them, which would have been better than them being attacked by Abdulloution Sleepy

E like dragging out stuff lately (Taker/Cena confirmation, Brauns partner etc), so this one on one match probably won't happen until Summerslam.

You need to watch WrestleMania 2, Adders. Refrigerator Perry was eliminated by Big John Studd in the battle royale and then offered to shake Studd's hand, pulling Studd out by the arm when he reached and eliminated him. He didn't even have to get back in the ring to eliminate him even though he was eliminated himself, and it counted.

But yes, no doubt Sasha and Bayley will scrap in this year's battle royal.
