Quote Samoa Joe has been out of action after he suffered a knee injury in late August.

Joe suffered the injury at WWE live event in Jonesboro, Arkansas where he faced John Cena. The former NXT Champion has since missed several events and has been pulled from WWE television.

It’s been reported that his return to in-ring action is imminent. He posted the following on Twitter that teased what will happen when he eventually steps back inside the squared circle.

Glad he should be back in time to be involved in a Survivor Series match, as he was expected back long before now already.

He's had a few bits of surgery including on his nose that was hampering his cardio for years breathing only at 60% he said in a interview, so he should be new and improved.

Raw could really do with him right now. I suspect he might be added to the European tour.

It looks like fans won't be seeing Samoa Joe at live events until after WrestleMania season.

After suffering an injury during a match against Rhyno at the January 8th episode of RAW, Samoa Joe was pulled from his originally scheduled match against John Cena at WWE's return to Madison Square Garden on March 16th.

Cena will instead team up with Nikki Bella to take on Elias and Bayley in mixed tag-team action at the 3/16 show at MSG.

In an update on Joe, WWE has pulled him from all upcoming live events until after WrestleMania 34 in April. He is also not currently advertised for any of the WWE events until the annual European tour, which kicks off in May.

As noted, Joe recently spoke about his WWE status during an appearance on WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T's Heated Conversations podcast.

"It's kind of a week to week thing," said Joe during the podcast interview with Booker T. "With these injuries sometimes they heal sooner, sometimes they heal later. They are going to do a little bit of an ultrasound, check it out every week. They're going to be giving me treatments. It's not something that can be fixed surgically. It's basically a lot of time, rest, and elevation, and letting it heal. It just depends on how quick it heals. Hopefully, it will be sooner than later. Obviously, we're going to be past the [Royal] Rumble, but I don't know how much further past that."

For those who missed it, you can check more from Samoa Joe's interview on Booker T's Heated Conversations podcast by clicking here.

He's really had some bad luck with injuries lately if it keeps it up its gonna cost him his spot in the WWE and eventually they'd force him into early retirement at least for the WWE.

Yeah seems hes set to miss his second Wrestlemania in a row, not sure why he wasn't booked last year, seems his main roster debut was just ill-timed and they couldn't work him into the plans.

Its a shame for Joe who has become one of the hottest new acts on the roster and as I've said constantly I think a turn to a bad-ass babyface could easily see him become one of the top guys in the company. But with persistent injuries and him also heading towards fourty WWE may be reluctant to push him too hard.

I'd agree with that Fletch. With his age and injuries continuing to wrack up I don't see WWE having enough faith to strap the proverbial rocket to him. Given his talent that would be a great shame but he could easily lead a faction including say Authors of Pain.

I like Joe as he is at the moment. Raw desperately needs heels at the top of the card and the fans can still cheer him if they want to.

He seemed to do very well on the TakeOver pre show and it isnt that long since he was called up from NXT to the main roster so what you are saying would be relatively straight forward to pull off.

I agree its a shame his injuries are stalling his momentum because he is quality in the ring and is pretty over with most crowds

His feud with Lesnar was quality, seeing someone match up to Brock in terms of physicality and ring style was excellent as well as how Joe showed no fear of Brock. Sadly the actual match was booked to be short and pretty uneventful.

But this showed a glimpse of what WWE could do with Joe if they pushed him that little bit harder.

Are the reports true that he has been cleared? I saw him at the hall of Fame. If his return is confirmed I do hope Joe becomes involved at WrestleMania. As you said he missed WrestleMania last year and this would be his WrestleMania debut.

I really also hope that the WWE still treats him seriously (the word push is overused, but yeah I ope he still gets that push) despite the issues you bring up like his injures and/or age.

A win in the Andre The Giant battle royal would be a good way to make a grand return (albeit the pre-show,) or of course as some have speculated him being Bruan's mystery partner would be another way to make a big splash.

Either way someone of his caliber, even though he made a name for himself and spent most of his career elsewhere, should be in a WrestleMania match at least once or twice in his career, as Sting and A.J. Styles have and as Bobby Roode will this year.
