It's worked out well for Joe to have his first fued with someone he's known on the indys for years and knows he can trust to help get his E main roster career off to a good start.

Sami Zayn is nothing more than enhancement talent so I expect Joe to win with a strong first PPV outing.

I'd not be against them having a rematch at Wrestlemania though, where Zayn wins to set up Joe winning the rubber match.

Kills me to hear you say Zayn is nothing more than enhancement talent, but the fact is, that's how he is being used.

I would hope Zayn would start winning soon. I guess he has some kind of heat backstage because they find him so annoying with being a perfectionist, but the fact is, he is probably gonna have to wait a long time before people finally realize how good he really is, much like it took people so long to realize how good Daniel Bryan was too.

That is how Zayn is being used but he'll get his payday. You just know the match at Fastlane will deliver because it not only has Samoa Joe, it has Sami Zayn. It would be nice to see him get a US title run this year as a thank you for your hard work.

Zayn came out on top of his feud with Owens. People forget that. I think it needs to be brought up sooner or later here when Zayn is ready to go on a win streak.

In the end he did yeah and it disappointed me a bit as Owens and Zayn had some great matches which established Owens as a killer heel and it was refreshing to see a heel win a feud for once in WWE. But they couldn't leave it alone and let Owens keep the bragging rights, they had to allow the babyface to come back and get the heroic feel good victory effectively cancelling out Owens' dominance.

In this scenario though it seems Samoa Joe is in for a monster push and I expect him to win this feud decisively, he recently pinned Roman Reigns so I think it's very unlikely that Sami Zayn will upset him.

Quote From Jim Ross Website

Strong win by Samoa Joe over Sami Zayn which needed to happen. The object of this match was to portray Joe as strong and mission accomplished. Sami Zayn fans who feel that this loss "killed" their favorite apparently don't have ample confidence in Sami. I do and he'll be fine.

Samoa Joe is more highly thought of and for his main roster PPV debut he was booked brilliantly well, especially by heel standards.

He didn't come across as the lackey of Hs and Sami Zayn isn't harmed by how he was booked.

I hope it continues between them. Wrestlemania rematch? It would be better than putting them in a midcard annual clusterfuck like the ATGMBR.
