no.

not physical stuff.

not least because it is forming such a big part of his reasoning for what he pays in alimony for the divorce, but if the concussion issues are that severe, that serious, he can not even risk a training role.

he won't get anything in NXT, since it's known he and Paul don't get along, it would seem he may have burnt any bridges in TNA with anyone who Is still there under the Anthem regime, but that would be his best try, seeing if they need a scout, an agent, a booker, anything that doesn't involve the travel that he hates within WWE, and doesn't require a physical role.

Rob was someone who could have gone further in his career if he’d got his attitude in check, he despised the politics and would always follow his own rules, getting busted for pot while enjoying the biggest WWE push of his career and then shrugging it off like he didn’t give a shit was just dumb and I didn’t blame WWE for curbing his push after that.

In a way I get it because my attitude is very similar in a working environment but I also know how it can hold you back and stop you ever progressing and in a company like WWE that’s not something you want. There are ways to play the corporate game while staying true to your principals and not becoming a suck up.

it's his attitude that would also put me off having him as a trainer, even without the concussion issue.

you're not just training someone how to work a particular style, they're also going to be picking up on how you view the profession, and if you're very blasé about it, then there is the chance that could rub off on some of those you're training.

to be honest, even then, i'd have still gone with a guy who was arrested for possession of cannabis over a guy who did heavier drugs, and it would certainly make for a far more entertaining episode of Ride Along on the Network.

i'd perhaps openly encourage it to help relax performers who would like to partake, better than a guy taking somas and various painkillers that could be addictive in their own rights.

there is a growing tide of people now pushing the medicinal benefits of cannabis, both in it's smokable weed form, and extracting the oil to use. i'd say RVD would be the ideal guy to pick up for use to say that it can help with sports related injuries if there is a group that would give him the platform to say that from.

double posting as I don't think this should just be edited into my last post based on what my previous posts have said. in anycase, fuck what I've said recently, his wife should take him to the fucking cleaners, the fucking muppet.

5 Star Wrestling is coming to Birminghams Genting Arena

the poster for an upcoming event in Birmingham that popped up on my facebook, where he will be actually competing!

so he's lying about concussions, as if I, or anyone else, had had a concussion serious enough to cause vision problems, i'd not be fucking risking going blind or worse.

He’s either lying or he just doesn’t care about seriously risking his health, my guess is it’s the first option as he doesn’t want expensive alimony payments.

He did say however that the concussion and vision problems meant that he couldn’t work for WWE anymore, he never said it would prevent him working the indy circuit as independent wrestling groups don’t usually have anything close to the strict medical screening that WWE have.

If Rob could get his attitude in check he would be a good shout as a trainer as he completely gets the psychology of wrestling, few were better at selling and working the crowd. I would hope that now he’s older the attitude issues that dogged him through his WWE career may have gone away.

absolutely, and I do get that WWE are being far more careful in regards to concussions and the potentials of injury from there that means they won't let him return and work, but he knows how bad this is, and if he's going to use the concussion and visions issues to try and get his now ex-wife to back down on her financial demands in the divorce, claiming it's limiting his ability to work, when it is literally just stopping WWE from booking him as a performer, he has no leg to stand on there.

hopefully, he gets taken to the cleaners, because right now, we're probably a few years off reading he has killed himself due to his injuries, or something worse, if he carries on like this.

I guess it is a legitimate concern though, he could potentially earn more money in WWE than he can working indie shows and conventions, TNA wouldn’t match what WWE would pay him either. So his gripe is that his earnings will now not match what he earned in the past if that’s what they are basing the alimony payments on. Although recent evidence suggests indie earnings can be more than WWE but I would imagine that would involve working a crazy amount of dates which I assume Rob at 46 years old and with concussion issues won’t be doing.

Given his ring style I can imagine Rob does have concussion problems. His best option might be TNA as they would still pay well for a easy schedule.

I wouldn't say so. Cody doesn't seem to hint at having to work a schedule as draining as WWE to be where he is at this point.

WWE for RVD is a moot point anyway. he has beef with Paul, so there is no role within them he could get even if it were available. Impact would be his best bet if he hasn't burnt the bridges there too, but he's an arsehole for trying to claim that WWE won't book him primarily because of the concussion, and as such, his earning potential is limited when it quite patently isn't if he doesn't care about his own health and well being.

Cody has kept very busy though, he’s worked with ROH, NJPW and TNA. Can’t imagine RVD doing anything like that, with him it’s more a handful of indie shows and conventions. I think at this point RVD isn’t willing to put on the kind of show he did back in ECW or his early WWE days, it’s probably more of a lazy phoned in performance at some low key indy event.
