Despite being a RVD mark I do agree that the guy has to high a opinion of himself, he will never admit that he fucked up big time with the whole pot bust while he was in the midst of the biggest push of his life, something he had always complained about not getting, but instead he brushes it off saying stuff like it was no big deal because the push wouldnt have lasted anyway.

One thing is for sure, he is done as a full time wrestler. His passion for the business is not waht it was in his younger days and he openly admits he just wants to turn up 5 minutes before his match, go out and do his thing, shower, then get in his car and head home.

I cant see WWE offering him the kind of money and light schedule that he wants. Good to know he hasnt completely ruled out TNA, he has friends there and the schedule would appeal to him. I've always thought TNA would suit him better because he would have more freedom on the mic and his in ring style would not have to be so watered down. Plus the more laid back locker room should be more to his liking.

I agree.  I also think TNA would benefit highly from employing him if they chose to do so and promoted him at the top of the card.

I dont know about him being promoted to the top of the card, I'm sure Kurt Angle will have something to say about that, being the fact that when you look at the main event of TNA its pretty much Kurt Angle and his "friends", I don't think he and RVD got along greatly within WWE, so that could play a part on RVD's rise to the top of TNA if he did infact go there.

RVD is very good friends with Booker T who obviously has a bit of stroke with TNA top brass and Kurt Angle.

Given RVD's name value as well as his obvious talent I think he would be placed near the top of the card regardless of Angle's opinion.

Quote Rob Van Dam knows TNA wants a piece of him and said once again the "ridiculous never-ending" WWE schedule will play a factor in which company he decides will wrestle for. Van Dam told Alex Marvez of Scrippsnews.com "I do have some interest right now in what's going on with the big companies. I know (Hulk) Hogan would like to have me. Eventually, (TNA) may start to wear me down and my 'no thanks' will become 'well, maybe.' I have some interest, but I don't know what's going to happen. I don't see myself going back to the full-time, ridiculous never-ending WWE schedule. I couldn't wait to get away from it before." Aside from the brutal WWE schedule, Van Dam still has sour grapes about how WWE handled the "new" ECW: "WWE destroyed that and made it very symbolic. They wanted everyone to know ECW was dead and this new group happened to be called ECW. That was the last cycle of frustration for me."

* I wish he would hurry the fuck up and pick where he wants to be.

* Be really funny if both TNA and WWE both tell him to fuck off for stringing them along this long.

* He should think about getting over what the new ECW is too. We all know now he wanted a violent rebirth of ECW where most of the roster would have become pain killer dependent and broken down.

I can see WWE telling him no when they see his long list of demands and schedule requirements but TNA are desperate to get him on board as they should be as he is one of very few free agents in the business who has name value and can still go in the ring. He never wanted a complete re-birth of the old ECW, that would be ridiculous, he knew for ECW to go mainstream they would need to make changes. Like many of us he just wanted ECW to have a different identity to the rest of WWE and feature a edgier more adult product, but instead we just got a second rate version of the usual WWE product which is a insult to the legacy of ECW, I can fully understand why Rob is pissed off about that.

Fair play to RVD, he knows how to play the media game. Despite not stepping into a ring in ages, his name is never out of the wrestling news.
Keeping his 'buzz' alive will do nothing but increase his name value wherever he ends up.
Fletch: Why didnt Vince just get a load of monitors to act as lumberjacks? Then Bret wouldnt have stood a chance. That monitor will be inducted in to the HOF at Wrestlemania 30.

I can see him appear at WWE one more time, but only for that one match and then he signs with TNA, because lets be honest here, TNA can offer him more of a free schedule while WWE he has to work the dates they demand from him.

Exactly. Rob is alot smarter than he often comes across when on-screen.

Despite being absent from mainstream wrestling for a few years now he has kept his name out there and as a result still has alot of name value.

Creating a bidding war for his services between the two major company's is very shrewd and it will also allow him more leverage when negotiating the terms and conditions of his contract, ie: creative freedom, number of dates he will work etc.

As BG said I can see him making maybe a one off appearance for WWE or maybe doing a short-term angle and a handfull of matches, thinking about it perhaps he is looking for a Wrestlemania pay-day before he heads to TNA.

It would be really awesome if he debuts in TNA as a mystery challenger for AJ on BFG 2010. It would be as the main event in the biggest show of TNA. And make him win the title

That will show how important he is meant for TNA. And that may bring his passion back.
Guys can you help me out
