Agreed. The past two weeks were segments that served a purpose to antagonise Rusev, and while its safe to say this kind of soap opera type stuff wont appeal to everyone I thought the talent involved all did a good job.

But this week the segment served no purpose, why would any wrestling fans want to see Lana getting a massage from Lashley?? It was just dumb and cringey. Seemed the segment existed only for Lana and the first masseuse before Lashley arrived to make sexual innuendos and not even ones that were particularly funny.

The in-ring interview with Lawler and Rusev came across a bit awkward in its execution, both men appeared a bit uncomfortable with the storyline and what they were having to say. It was good to see a different more babyface side of Rusev but I didn't like how he appeared to not care that his wife was cheating on him right before his eyes and said he hoped they could pass through this, that is not something you want a babyface talent saying, he should be wanting to tear both of them apart and should be showing anger not indifference.

The storyline is that Lana is a gold digger wanting the finer things in life while Rusev was cautious with his money sending much of it home to his poor family in Bulgaria, so Lana has now run into the arms of Lashley who gives her everything she wants.

This was a much better segment than the horrible massage nonsense last week, I was glad that Rusev finally snapped and stormed into the restaurant to attack Lashley, that is the kind of stuff fans want to see.

Rusev has got himself into fantastic shape and I wonder if this has prompted WWE to give him a push? He needs to lose the pornstar moustache though not a good look.

Something seems strange about this angle, the fact Rusev seemed so indifferent to his wife cheating and said he was loyal to her still, makes me wonder if this is all part of some elaborate angle that will see Rusev form a alliance with Lashley and Lana.
I actually liked the idea of a Rusev/Lana babyface couple and the fans liked them too which again makes it seem strange that WWE have gone in this direction.

There are some theories on this, it's been said that Rusev and Lana were not happy with their booking in WWE and they requested time off earlier this year, could this storyline be a punishment? Stranger things have happened in WWE.
The other theory is Vince felt Rusev needed to be a solo act to move up the card and Lashley needed a mouth-piece so it gave him Lana to do the promo work while at the same time putting heat on Lashley for stealing Rusev's wife.
