Fair enough for WWE trying to get English over, but it'll never work for me. I can't stand that gimmick.

The addition of Lana has made Rusev Day/Lana Day more popular than ever, I loved Aidan English’s lyrical introduction for Lana this week. I’m glad they haven’t removed English from the act and seem to be proceeding with Rusev Day as a three person group, English is a key part of the gimmick and a main reason for its popularity. I’m glad he’s stopped with the classical type singing and using almost rap style stuff with his intros now.

After the way he got the fans involved for Lana’s entrance and the reaction it got it does seem that they are now babyfaces which is the right move.

Quote Lana is shown backstage warming up. Rusev approaches and says she has his support, and it will be a happy Lana day. Aiden English approaches and says he didn't mean to cause her the match last week. He says he knows he had a bad couple weeks, but he's here to say he's sorry. Rusev says they forgive Aiden, but maybe it's better for him to stay backstage tonight. Rusev and Lana walk off while Aiden looks disappointed. - Lana vs. Zelina Vega: Rusev and Andrade Almas are both at ringside for this one. Lana starts off strong and backs Zelina into the corner. Zelina fights back with strikes and keeps Lana grounded with a rear chin lock. Zelina misses a kick, and Lana fires back with a knee and a vertical suplex for a two count. Lana hits some elbow drops then works over Zelina in the corner. Lana hits a running facebuster for a two count. Lana hits two vertical suplexes, then Almas causes a distraction from the apron and Zelina drops Lana. Rusev goes after Almas now and whips him into the fan barricade. Zelina kicks Rusev in the head from the apron and Almas drops Rusev from behind. Meanwhile in the ring, Lana hits a big boot on Zelina. Lana goes up top while Rusev and Almas still brawl. Aiden English runs down and spears Almas, but he bumps into Lana in the process and Lana goes down. Zelina takes advantage and pins Lana for the win. Winner: Zelina Vega - Rusev helps Lana up and they don't look happy about the finish.

I'm not liking the booking between them. They were fine as they were and didn't need to be booked into having issues.

English looks like a dumb bastard for not doing as he's told and screwing up every single week.

If Rusev batters him, creative would want a heel reaction but it would get cheered because Aiden would have deserved it.

Not sure why they've went this direction with these two. It's more than obvious that the tape was stop just as Lana was going to say I want you..... so it's a bit of a lame story line but on the other hand who else is Rusev going to feud with at the moment ? I would have put him on the quest to get the U.S. title back, but guess we will see what they do here. Almost like a Miz, Mizdow moment.

Best line of this feud so far has to be Aiden saying to Lana ‘’if you ever get tired of those boring Rusev Days..... treat yourself to a Aiden night!’’

Enjoying this feud so far and I’m glad they seem to have finally turned Rusev officially babyface, he’s popular and a likeable personality, the old school foreign heel thing never really worked for him it was Rusev Day that got him over, will be interesting to see how they handle the gimmick without Aiden involved.

Still think he should have said an English night, but whatever. I guess that would have a double meaning that WWE wouldn't want misconstrued... for some reason.

I think Rusev made the foreign heel thing work for him for a while, despite being such a cliché. I think the fact that he was able to make it work for him is the biggest reason he's still around today, because most people that have been given that gimmick wash out after a couple years once the gimmick's storylines run their course. He's still doing quite well in the mid-card.

I can't say the same for English. I don't like him at all. I was fine with him and Gotch as the Vaudvillains, but he on his own annoys the hell out of me.

I don’t dislike English, he has personality but with his goofy look and character it’s hard to see him as anything more than a low card jobber.

Rusev on the other hand could be a top guy, featuring him so prominently on Total Divas was smart as it’s shown a more human and funny side to him, plus people like the Rusev/Lana partnership. I could see him being World champion down the line.

This was a good way to formally turn Rusev face, in my opinion. Aidan English was always the heel of the ground and now that he's stepped away and is being blatantly heelish, it opens Rusev up to feuds against Nakamura, The Miz and of course Samoa Joe.

Agreed I think it was a well booked smooth transition to full on babyface for Rusev, he’s been in the tweener role for months now. I think this will result in a short-term feud with English that will see Rusev win decisively then he will move onto bigger things.

The only slight concern is that I did see a report a while ago that Rusev is unhappy with his creative direction and has been quite outspoken about it similar to the situations of the past with guys like Matt Hardy, Carlito, Dolph Ziggler and Wade Barrett. The report suggested neither WWE or Rusev have any interest in renewing their working relationship at the end of his contract, but based on how he’s currently being booked and how prominent he and Lana have been on shows like Total Divas I would say the report was false.

Rusev has always been treated pretty well on the roster I feel a lot of the unspoken stuff is more to do with in ring character then anything else, Lana can easily fill the void for Aiden in the Rusev Day celebration entrance and Rusev will be able to get himself over from there.

By WrestleMania I firmly believe Rusev will be US champ once more and he will bring a lot of prestige to that title.
