I would hope after her 'contract' signing we'll start seeing more appearances on TV close to every week leading into wrestlemania.

I hope she signs her contract before the Womens Chamber match and then attacks someone afterwards to start up her first rivalry

Reports are still suggesting it will be Ronda Rousey and The Rock vs Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at Wrestlemania.

In a way this is a good first outing for her, a one off celebrity marquee match which I'm guessing wont be particularly long. This will allow the full-time roster girls to fight over the titles at Wrestlemania and give Rousey a fairly gentle first match as she can be protected a lot within the confines of this tag match.

After Mania though shouldn't be long before shes chasing a title, maybe feuds with the likes of Nia Jax and Sasha Banks to get her ready along the way.

For all the name value she has in UFC, she needs a match like that to really establish her in the WWE. That match would bring in a ton of viewers solo no matter what card it's on.

I'm pretty sure that Rock is filming a movie at the moment and won't be doing a match at mania.

If I were WWE I would have a mixed tag team match with Kurt Angle and Rousey vs Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

After that's all settled I can see Rousey becoming the Raw women's champ by Summerslam its just a matter of who's gonna be the woman holding the title until she claims it.

Quote ESPN.com’s Arash Markazi shared the first look at the limited edition holographic WWE Summerslam tickets that feature former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey, WWE Champion AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos and a number of other WWE stars. With Rousey being under a multi-year contract with the sports entertainment, she is expected to work this upcoming pay-per-view event.

Not a surprise because for the money she will be on, she will have to be working every major event.

We need some character build to give a shit though. The way she came out smiling she looked in awe of the women wrestlers, too much of a fan and rather marky.

Also she should prove why she's rowdy. I get she's a Roddy Piper fan, but she's stollen his nickname and hasn't ever showed any reason to believe she's rowdy. The name doesn't fit the persona.

I think some of you guys just need to read her Wikipedia page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronda_Rousey

People that pay attention to ESPN and pop culture here in the states know her very well. She got a catch phrase trending off her appearance on a late night talk show (David Letterman) during the buildup for her fight against Bethe Correia. Bethe's Portuguese, and the name is apparently pronounced more like "betch" so Ronda, during her interview jokingly said: "I got 99 problems but a Bethe ain't one." A play on the Ice-T single from 1993 that was re-popularized during the time of Rousey's fight by Jay-Z, and the quote just sorta went viral. The smack she talked during her fights was unlike that of almost any UFC fighter ever, recently only Connor McGregor has talked trash like Rousey did, and even he hasn't gotten the responses she has.

The main thing is that it was her smack talking that earned her the name Rowdy Ronda Rousey, and it was her smack talking that sold people on seeing her fights, and it was her smack talking along with her dominance that made her a box office draw for UFC. Look at Cris Cyborg, she's every bit as dominant as Rousey was yet no one really gives a shit, one because she got caught juicing, but also because she's got the personality of a mud post.

You can bet your ass that WWE are going to want to bring forth Rousey's smack talking personality and put it up front and center to sell PPV events.

You literally have to be ignorant here in the states not to know who she is. Her name is everywhere, from the time she won the bronze medal in the Olympics in Judo, to her fighting the name of "Rowdy" that was given to her first, before she approached Piper and he gave his blessing and started a friendship up with her. So to say that she stole it is just plain wrong, because she never accepted the name until after he gave her his blessing, and as Piper himself said, she didn't need to do that, she is a bigger star than he ever was and so her coming to him made her a real classy girl in his eyes. She was in headline news every couple of months for a period of 2-3 years.

THAT show's her character, she has already proven herself to be rowdy, she's already proven herself to be a huge smacktalker that just wants to have fun and kick ass, and she's all out of fun.

However, wrestling fans aren't exactly known as the smartest bunch of fans in the world, a look around the internet and finding a site like this being so damned hard as it is only reinforces that. So to that end, she WILL have to prove herself all over again. I've no doubt that within 1 year's time she will have people either eating out of the palm of her hand, or hating her guts. WWE always talks about Cena & Reigns as controversial and polarizing, but Ronda has been that for 10 years herself and on a much bigger stage.

ESPN called her the most dominant athlete of 2015 and the shitstorm that came from it was stupid big, because it had people arguing non-stop. It really doesn't seem like there are people out there that are ambivalent towards her once they get to know her, they either love her or hate her.

Obviously I love the chick, that's why I started this thread 2 and a half years before she signed with the WWE.

The next question is, she made her name of being a real life Bill Goldberg. She spent less time fighting than just about anyone who held a title for so long. Most of her fights were under a minute. She was quoted as saying she makes more money per second than Mayweather, she's just more efficient. So do her wrestling matches reflect this? Does she get in the ring with Stephanie and submit her in no time flat like Asuka was doing with jobbers when she first debuted?

Good video. About time E showed how legit she is. Now we've seen her doing wrestling moves, in a wrestling ring, we can see for ourselves that she's more than just a special celebrity attraction.

I still see her signing for Smackdown on sunday. If a talent like her became available, you wouldn't wait a month from her debut to sign her. Plus it would be like when Shane beat his dad to buying WCW, only to a different family member this time.

Steph/Hs/Kurt in the ring applauding her with big smiles for about to sign with Raw. Shane/Daniel come out and she goes there. Steph/Hs are so pissed off at what she's done to them, that you have a ready made Mania storyline for their mixed tag team match.

Very good debut for Rousey. She didn't try and work that slap from Steph at all and it ended with Steph giving Ronda a fat lip. To her credit she no sold it convincingly enough. She did well on the mic, she still has nerves you can see, but I'm sure that will just get better with time.

Looks like they've pretty much already committed to Rousey and Angle vs Triple H and Steph.

Once again I will point out that Rousey has taken a spot away not from another woman on the WrestleMania card, but from a main event caliber man.

Can't wait to see her on Raw tomorrow night.

I won't be getting my hopes up about seeing her on Raw tonight. I'm still dubious about just how full time she will be.

However apart from a rocky start, it ended up a good segment.

(Spoilers onwards)

The 2nd half of that segment was how she should have been booked at the Rumble and at the start of the segment last night. She is clearly uncomfortable playing the smiley girl next door character. Make her look badass and you have something I can get behind.

She still has some work to do though, so back to the initial point, I hope she is on Raw every week so as to help her get used to the hotbed environment of a live WWE crowd.

I expect her on every Raw from now on, as she is full time. But I like you am dubious about how full time she will be. For example will she be wrestling at the house shows this weekend? Time will tell.

Quote Renee Young then introduces their next guest, Stephanie McMahon - who appears all smiling, totally ignoring the altercation that ensued with Ronda Rousey that led to her husband being put through a table. Stephanie hopes everyone enjoyed Elimination Chamber as much as she did as it was incredible but Renee quickly steers it towards the Rousey situation.

- Stephanie says everyone needs to be managed and while things got out of hand, tomorrow on Raw, Kurt Angle needs to apologize for the things he said while Rousey has some explaining to do. Stephanie thinks Rousey just got worked up over things that Angle said.

- Steph denies the validity of Angle's statements but both Kurt and Ronda both report to her and she will have to remind them of their roles which is okay because she's good at her job.

- Renee asks Stephanie if she's spoke to Rousey since Elimination Chamber and Steph says no, but tomorrow they will smooth things over. Renee then asks her how she sees Ronda fitting into the women's division and Stephanie says Ronda will be an A+ player once she is polished up a little.

She's got to do house shows. All the experience those matches will give her off camera, is exactly what she needs heading into Wrestlemania.

At least she's being protected in a likely tag team match, until she gets used to her new start.
