When he's in a long battle where he sells a lot, it's much more entertaining watching him then a one sided quick(ish) squash match.

Totally agree - was his best match in ages

Jordan wrestled well too and you could see them having a title match at a PPV in the not too distant future

this is one of the reasons I don't have the exact same problem with him that I had with Cena. he remembers when he needs to sell, not just when it happens, but at various points later in the match, and after the match. Cena used to just look out of breath, you could have been working his knee or ankle for the entire match, yet as soon as that belt rang, he had no issue with putting weight n the area.

Reigns does. he will not only limp around the ring, but will limp all the way up the ramp, even when the cameras aren't explicitly on him - at times, when they have Cole, Booker and Graves standing with their backs to the ramp, you can see him walking out, limping or holding whatever body part he needs to to continue to sell the match - but he desperately needs to work on his promo skills. the promo he delivered in at the start to Jordan had the same mannerisms that his "I'm not a good guy..." shit had, the smirk, the delivery style, everything, and unless he can start to either work that into a face delivery, or unless he is allowed to turn heel where that feels more natural, then he's going to be booed again once the Shield reunion is over.

Quote Roman Reigns vs. Cesaro: The Intercontinental Title is on the line in this one. The opening bell sounds and they go right at it. They briefly brawl out to ringside and then back in, where Cesaro gets off some cheap shots on Reigns when he re-enters the ropes. Cesaro hits some uppercuts until Reigns fires back with a lariat. Reigns keeps striking Cesaro until he falls, then he takes him into the corner for a series of clotheslines. Cesaro blocks one clothesline and slams Reigns' arm over the turnbuckle. Cesaro charges but Reigns stuns him with a punch, but is selling the right arm. They go out to ringside where Reigns attempts the Drive By, but Cesaro kicks him out of mid-air and takes control. Cesaro whips Reigns into the fan barricade arm-first, then takes him back in the ring where he continues to work on the arm. Cesaro gets Reigns in an armbar, but Reigns fights out and hits a back body drop. Reigns headbutts Cesaro down and he falls across the bottom rope, then Reigns runs around the ring and hits the Drive By. Back in the ring, Reigns calls for the Superman punch, but Cesaro hits him out of mid-air. Cesaro goes for an armbar, and then a Crossface, but Reigns fights out and hits a Samoan drop. Reigns is slow to get up, and Cesaro starts laying into him with uppercuts. Cesaro throws Reigns shoulder-first into the ring post and he falls out to ringside. Reigns manages to hit Cesaro with a big boot at ringside, then he drops him with a right hand. Back in the ring, both men are getting tired and trade strikes. Cesaro goes for the Crossface again, but Reigns powers out and hits a sitdown powerbomb for a two count. Fans chant "this is awesome" as both men are down. They slowly get up and trade strikes, and when the ref gets between them Cesaro hits a cheap shot. Cesaro then argues with the ref as Reigns gets up. Cesaro starts teeing off with uppercuts until the ref warns him. Cesaro hits more uppercuts then goes for the Neutralizer, but Reigns backdrops him and hits the spear for the three count.

Winner: Roman Reigns

- Reigns raises his IC Title high in the air as his music hits and we go to replays.

Another brilliant match by Roman Reigns. Who would have thought it eh?

My only knock is the title shouldn't be always on the line in the open challenge.

We know he's not dropping the title yet, so have the open challenge non title and occasionally book someone to beat him to get a title shot, which they lose in.

But if  you have someone beat him in a non title match but then he wins in the title match then its just the old rinse and repeat they used to do a lot especially for the tag team and women's titles.

Roman is fast becoming one of the best workers in the WWE and to think he started off as a football player he's come a long way since that time.

The open challenge thing has been the best thing to come out of the title reigns of both Roman for the IC title and John Cena with the U.S title, personally I wouldn't mind if some of the guys from NXT came up for a one off match just to show the main roster what they can do, imagine if Adam Cole came up for a one off match or even Eric Young for example, yes they would lose but at least we get to see what they can do on the main roster instead of waiting for some big main event call after wrestlemania or another shield group.

There’s a story doing the rounds today that Reigns has been implicated in some steroid ring.

The guy has also named Mark Wahlberg and a few others that were involved too.

Not sure how this will effect him in WWE or if this was what he was really suspended for back in 2016

Quote The Miz (c) vs. Roman Reigns: The IC Title is on the line in this one. Reigns starts with an uppercut right off the opening bell on the Champion. Reigns takes Miz into the corner with a headbutt and pummels on him. The Miz starts trying to come back with chops, but Reigns no-sells them and drops him with an uppercut. Reigns clotheslines Miz outside, and Axel and Dallas check on the Champion. Reigns steps outside and whips Miz into the ring steps, then stares down Axel and Dallas. Reigns takes Miz back in the ring, then clotheslines him right back outside. Reigns gets a steel chair and chases off Axel and Dallas. Reigns almost hits Miz with the chair, but decides against it when the ref tells him not to. Miz grabs Reigns by the tights and pulls him face-first into the ring post. Back in the ring, Miz continues beating on Reigns and tries to keep The Big Dog grounded. Reigns comes back with a Samoan Drop and both men are down. They get up and start trading punches, but then Reigns fires up with a series of clotheslines. Reigns drops the Champion with flying clothesline, then goes for a Superman punch but misses. Miz takes out Reigns' knee, then grabs him and puts him in the Figure Four. Reigns finally breaks the hold, then fights his way up and hits a sit-out powerbomb on Miz for a two count. Miz starts untying the middle turnbuckle in a corner, then Reigns comes up and grabs him. The ref tries to separate them, and Miz hits a cheap shot thumb to Reigns' eye behind the ref's back. Miz follows up with a Skull Crushing Finale for a two count. Reigns follows up with a Superman punch shortly after. Reigns gets up and looks like he wants the spear, but Axel distracts the ref and Dallas pulls Miz outside for a breather. Reigns comes around the ring and starts dropping everyone. Reigns throws Miz back in the ring and the ref checks on him. Dallas hits a cheap shot on Reigns, so Reigns throws him in the ring. Reigns punches Axel off the apron, then hits a spear on Dallas. Miz gets up and rolls up Reigns from behind with a fist full of tights for the three count.

Winner & still IC Champion: The Miz

Loses his title, doesn't win the Royal Rumble match and didn't regain the title in his automatic rematch. Not been a good week for him since the drug story came out.

He's been well protected with the tactics that have lead to his 0 and 3 winless streak, but it's still no W in the win column.

I would like Kurt Angle to ban him from the unfair advantage he has of getting away with wearing a chest protector in his matches.

But he's still going to take the title from Brock Lesnar, right?

Again i would have to believe this, the thing is though as has been mentioned a few times - there are actually no signs of this happening yet - the only thing actually eluding to this are comments on newsboards/forums etc

It would seem he is going to move away from the IC title now having lost his rematch so i cant see where else they move him to if its not to the EC and then onto mania

He was never winning the rumble anyone who thought so was being silly, wwe were smart having him be the last guy eliminated simply because it teases that he would win again in Philly where they absolutely hate him.

As for losing the title well he's not gonna be champ when he faces brock so as of now I don't see any issues with the losses.

I also see no issue with the losses - my point was that now he’s dropped the title - the feud with brock seems the next logical move
