Now i see exactly what WWE are doing and its very clever.

WWE built up the Fiend so that he "had" to win the title - he was so over there was no other result that was acceptable to the fans.

Hence the backlash Rollins got when he retained.

The fans made the fiend the WWE Universal champion.

The fans then continued to get their wish by the fiend smashing through everyone.

Then along came Goldberg who basically squashed The Fiend - causing backlash all around the world on the internet and basically everywhere - with celebrities even cancelling plans to attend Wrestlemania as a result.

The fans did not want anyone beating what they had created and therefore as you could see on Smackdown, turned on Goldberg.

Enter Roman Reigns - what a reception he got.

WWE now have a way to get Reigns back to where they want him, without fan backlash, by having him beat the person who beat the fan made champion.

Its perfect. The fans now hate Goldberg so much they would love for Reigns to beat him and take the title.

Perfect move WWE.

Roll on Wrestlemania i say

So beating King Baron makes you number 1 contender? Or does just being the first person to come out from the back put you in a title match at the biggest show of the year?

Crowd reaction will be interesting as Reigns has been known to get boos, but will probably be the crowd favourite as Goldberg winning the title has pissed off a lot of fans.

I don't see it being more than ten minutes as Goldberg struggles to even last that long in a match nowadays.

So Roman has pulled out of Wrestlemania, very wise decision as with his compromised immune system due to the effects of leukaemia he shouldn't be taking the risk, especially with some WWE talents now self isolating with symptoms.

It's not fully clear what will happen with Goldberg on the show but the big rumour doing the rounds is that Braun Strowman was slotted in to replace Roman, this makes sense as Braun wasn't booked on the show and is a top level star.

I'm interested to see where this goes, my expectation is a fairly short match and a Goldberg win as I would think they will simply postpone the Goldberg vs Roman match until the next earliest opportunity, but also a Strowman win shouldn't be ruled out as it's clear Goldberg has no desire to work fulltime he only comes back for one off matches on big occasions so it might be a case of he agreed to work until Mania and then he's done for now. However money talks and it's not like Goldberg will have to do much between now and whenever his next match could take place in the current climate.
