This months Powerslam magazine predicts that RVD will return to WWE before the end of 2009.
It makes sense because he has enjoyed a extended break, far as im aware his wife is now on the road to recovery and he must be running low on money.

I always hoped that RVD would go to TNA because I think his in ring and promo style would work so much better in the TNA environment, mainly because he wouldnt be watered down like he has to be in WWE.

But Van Dam has hinted strongly in interviews that if he returns to fulltime wrestling it will be with WWE, he said the door is wide open for him to come back and he has also said that while he admires TNA for making a effort, he pretty much dismissed them as being small time.

If he does come back i would just hope its on Smackdown where he can have excellent matches with Edge, CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, Jericho, Taker and Morrison.

I doubt this is true. Only because RVD talks so low on what the WWE did to his love for wrestling. Sure maybe on a long shot he comes back. But it would be for a pay check. In that case he doesn't show me RVD. He shows me another WWE puppet.

If RVD does infact come back to WWE, he has to go to a show that doesn't involve Triple H, but chances are if he does thats where he will be heading, to Raw, because WWE always throws there big names on Raw when they make a comeback after being gone for awhile.

RVD on Smackdown though, just think of the possibilities, RVD/Jericho, RVD/Edge, RVD/CM Punk, RVD/Jeff Hardy (if Hardy is still there) and RVD/Morrison are to name a few, those types of feuds would be utterly amazing to witness if RVD indeed came back to WWE and was put on the Smackdown brand, but I highly doubt WWE would send him there straight away though.

RVD says that he wasnt as passionate about his work in WWE as he was in ECW, but he has said he appreciates that WWE are the pinnacle of pro wrestling at present and he knows they can provide him with far more financial security than ECW ever could.

He also said that while he dosnt like that his promos are scripted and his in ring style is toned down, he knows that WWE is more mainstream and family orientated than ECW was so he has to censor his mic work a little, and he knows that working a WWE schedule their is no way he could produce the same kind of performances that he did in ECW because he would be a cripple in a month. He has mentioned that WWE allow him to use his unique hardcore style on occasion just not in every match.

And now at nearly fourty RVD will definately not be able to work a no limits style four nights a week.
Even a toned down RVD can still produce excellent matches with alot of the guys on the WWE roster.

Yes, he can.  Some of my very favorite Randy Orton matches are with Rob Van Dam.  Orton even said one time that Van Dam is a hard guy to hurt because he is in such great shape and is very flexible but that RVD always allowed him to do more than a lot of other people he takes on in matches will and he liked taking on RVD for this reason.  I, as a fan, loved watching it too.

RVD had great matches with Jeff Hardy,Christian, Chris Jericho, Undertaker and he had one with Shawn Michaels that would have normally been considered a dream match but it was rushed through and nothing was made of it.  It would be hard to match those two up because both are such huge fan favorites and Michaels would make RVD look bad on the mic.  RVD never was a great talker and when he did get to talk, the material he was given was so dorky that he ended up looking like a doofus from it.

Thank you Rob for setting the deal about ECW straight.  He knows damned good and well that doing what he and the original core group of ECW four or five nights a week did then now would kill them.  I'm so glad he pointed that out cause people get on my friggin nerves wanting the new ECW to be like the old ECW.  Yeah, that was some good stuff but like RVD said they did not do that stuff four or five nights a week every single week of the year.

I hope he doesn't come back. I thought all of his moves were so over the top. I mean, the Rolling Thunder, the Five Star Frog Splash, the Van Daminator...all those moves were just ridiculous. I understand that he's a talented wrestler, and I agree with that. I just can't stand him. I think WWE is doing just fine without him.

Couldnt agree more. Rob IMO allowed Randy Orton to showcase alot more than what any other wrestler has done for Randy, Rob is so techinically sound with the way he moves its amazing, with all the high flying moves and stuff that he does, he showcases true talent that alot would dream of having.

As for his other great matches with Jeff, Christian, Jericho, Undertaker and Shawn, I agree and I would really love to see at Wrestlemania, Rob Van Dam vs. Shawn Michaels, just imagine that encounter as that would've been off the charts, it be good if RVD did come back and do that but it won't happen as WWE arent very high on face vs heel matches, hmmm... I wonder, could Shawn go heel one more time? Be nice if he did as I doubt RVD could ever get over much as a heel as the fans just love what he does.

if RVD comes back, he should request working a program with Shawn Michaels.  I don't see why Shawn would mind.

I dont think Shawn would mind but WWE would, solely because I dont see them wanting to make Shawn heel and I highly doubt WWE could turn RVD heel either because he's that over it isnt funny.

Plus I wouldnt want to see RVD rock up on Raw, solely because of Triple H, its no secret that Hunter doesnt like Rob and vice versa, so it be better if Rob rocked up on Smackdown and yeah, its just a shame Hunter doesnt take a backseat like Shawn and Taker do.
