So so utterly sad. His last act as a man was to protect his ten year old son by telling lifeguards to save him instead.

Let's not forget the armed robbery he stopped four years ago.

His actions in life has a man and father will forever eclipse his in ring achievements as one half of a very funny and entertaining tag team.

Its very sad to hear

I had a feeling we would get this news after the story emerged the other day

Its hard to find any sort of positive in these types of situations but Adders summed it up pretty well - saving his son and his other acts outside of wrestling are true hallmarks of a gentleman and a hero.

This is a tragedy but at least Shad died a hero and the nature of his death is a testament to the kind of man he was.

I would argue that WWE should induct him into next year's Hall of Fame, he may not have had a hall of fame worthy career but I think his actions as a human being justify a induction so Shad can posthumously receive some recognition on a big stage.

RIP Shad Gaspard.

There's absolutely no words for something like this. Those pictures (in the article Adders linked to) of his wife & friends by the shore where they found his body are telling.

Good tributes from The Rock, JTG, and Matt Morgan.

R.I.P. Shad. Cry
