Or something as equally ridiculous... mind you it might put the name Dolph Ziggler into perspective!

And of course, Aries couldn't get a spot on the main roster right away, he'd have to go through NXT where he'd probably be paired up with hmmm... I don't know... The Miz or LayCool ? Oh no, even better: Chris Masters. Yeah, Chris Masters and his NXT Rookie: Melvin Silas, who would lose every match he's in because he's not Vince's creation. I can already see Austin Aries having to job to The Great Khali or Zack Ryder.

But let me play devil's advocate here and tell you one thing: if you want to talk about silly names in wrestling, can we talk about Truth Martini ?

And so he should have to go through nXt. He isnt any better or more special than other guys who have had to go through with it.

He isn't better than ANY of the guys who had to go through NXT ? Not better or more special than Darren Young, David Otunga, Lucky Cannon or Titus O'Neil ? Not better or more special than guys who can't cut a promo without making fools out of themselves or guys who can't run the ropes properly ? Come on man, you're either blind, deaf, ignorant or you're just trying to get a reaction if you're saying he's not better than any of those guys.

I didn't say ANY.

But yeah, hes a vanilla midget in a bush league promotion. If you have Steve Blackman-esque mic skills then you are lauded as a promo king in ROH, because none of them have any form of personality or charisma. Considering Danielson and Low Ki had to go through NxT, I dont see why Aries should be above that.

Also, Lucky Cannon is quite good, I saw him on an FCW show (comparable to ROH) and he looked impressive tbf.

Well, you didn't say ANY.... but you did say that none of the guys in ROH have any form of personality or charisma. So after saying that you didn't generalize in your last post, you followed it up by making a blatant generalization. Wow !

And all I was trying to demonstrate with my little parody of Austin Aries in NXT was that even though Aries, just like Danielson and Low-Ki was not above NXT, some weird booking choices would probably be made with him on that show. But we could argue all night about the fact that Miz and Laycool were actually good for Bryan and Kaval's careers and we'd be missing the point. The point is that so far, their have been two notable indy stars on NXT and the two were paired up with improbable pros and lost more matches than they won on that show. I was just continuing the trend with Aries.

Big who cares.

1 minute on nXt makes him instantly more famous than he ever was, hence why the ROH World champ signed an FCW deal.

Your view is extremely simplistic. For some wrestlers, in fact, for A LOT of wrestlers, that one minute of great fame is not worth trading away your credibility or even just risking that. For many others, it is indeed worth it. Some wrestlers believe, rightfully or not, that they will be treated well in WWE, while others don't and the reasons why they believe one thing or another vary from wrestler to wrestler. That's probably why Tyler Black signed a deal with WWE and Austin Aries hasn't done so yet. As a wrestling fan, I respect both perspectives.

I agree with you [SIC] Man, but will get used to how narrow minded John is.  He just contradicted himself by mentioning Daniel Bryan who had tonnes of personaity when he was in ROH as well as now.

I have no problem with WWE sending Ex-ROH guys to FCW if they feel the need, but NXT is totally different.
Lifes what you make it.

I choose to out think people, who are too dumb and pick on the rich.
