So there are reports circulating online that Ric Flair is going to sue WWE.

Allegedly Flair trademarked the name The Man as it is something he used to use when he was wrestling, he confirmed this by tweeting "To be the man, you have to beat the man #Alreadytrademarked".

There was an agreement in place between Flair and the WWE whereby Flair would get some form of payment as a result of Becky Lynchs merch sales, however WWE just totally fucked him off.

This was then brought up by Flair and totally ignored by the WWE.

Flair then took this to HHH, who also ignored Flair.

As he has had no response, Flair is set to sue WWE for breaching the agreement and violating the trademark due to the current gimmick/persona adopted by Becky Lynch.

The reports i seen online seem to indicate that Flair only trademarked "The Man" following the surge in Beckys popularity and merch sales.

For someone who seemed to have a good relationship with WWE, if there is anything that can sour that, it is finances and court orders.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out and if this will affect Charlottes position on the card going forward - we all know WWE like to get their revenge by the way they book their talent.

That's what I was thinking when I read this. Dude is a two time Hall Of Famer with WWE. He has been honored with special moments several times over and given every accolade.

Then again, when you have multiple ex-wives sue you for alimony lawsuits become a way of life; and money is money.

If what you said is right about Flair only trademarking the name after Becky's popularity than morally, the WWE is right. Flair is just trying to capitalize on someone else's popularity.

But legally, a trademark is a trademark; and Flair has it.

So we will see what happens.

The flip-side to this is that if anyone is immune to WWE's traditional blackball-worthy actions, it's Ric Flair. The shit he's done in the past would have gotten just about anyone else placed next to Owen Hart & Chris Benoit, yet Vince still gets down on both knees and deepthroats Flair. Who the hell knows what'll happen with this case.

Now there are reports trying to make a big deal that both Hunter and Seth Rollins "unfollowed" Ric Flair on Twitter. While seemingly a small thing; it does say that there is significance to this.
