So this story is weird, he actually passed away in May but as he had dropped out of the wrestling world (and also had been suffering from Alzheimer's) the news of his death didn't get out until December.

When it comes to his wrestling days, his black glove first comes to mind. I have to say Goulet was good for his role as a solid mid carder who could always have a good match; and he was adept at both singles and tag team. His most famous match is probably his match against Chris Taylor in Taylor's debut in the AWA in 1974. His brief tag team with Tony Garea also sticks out to me (and of course Garea had many tag team partners.)

But I will probably remember Goulet most as one of the guys in the WWF wearing suits that came out to break up a fight (also along with Tony Garea or Pat Paterson) in the ring or the aisle whenever things got too out of hand. He had that role for just as long as his wrestling career, from the mid 80's all the way until the early part of the attitude era, and was a staple in it. He was definitely one of the guys that seems "always there."

May he rest in peace.
