Quote Despite a heavily promoted match between John Cena and Triple H, this week's episode of Raw only scored a 3.6 cable rating, down from last week's 3.9 and a 4.5 two weeks ago. This week's show did hours of 3.43 and 3.79. (source: PWInsider.com)

* What did I tell ya? It was obvious that the rating would go down a fair bit with spoilers available.

* I'd expect the rating to go up a bit next week when it's back to a live show to around a 3.8 mark.

* If the HHH and Cena match had a clean finish the people who read the spoilers might have been more likely to tune in for the second hour.

^ I dont know about that, clean finish or not, I think fans are sick of seeing Hunter/Orton and Hunter/Cena as its been done to death already.

As for next week, I bet the ratings will go down to a 3.4 and yeah they won't rise again even if Raw is live.

Quote sources: Wrestling Observer Newsletter, PWInsider.com

-- As reported earlier, last week's Seth Green-hosted episode of Raw drew a 3.55 cable rating, which rounds up to a 3.6. In the segment-by-segment numbers, the bikini match pitting Kelly Kelly, Mickie James and Gail Kim against Maryse, Alicia Fox and Rosa Mendes lost 250,000 viewers coming off Seth Green's segment. Carlito's match with The Miz would lose 162,000 additional viewers. MVP's loss to Jack Swagger saw a slight gain as the match gained 15,000 viewers. Chris Jericho's interview and "match" with Mark Henry gained 899,000 viewers and was the high point of the show sans the overrun. Chavo Guerrero's bout with Hornswoggle lost 412,000 viewers, although that's not unusual for that point of the show. Evan Bourne's match with Big Show gained 191,000 viewers. The main event featuring Seth Green, John Cena and Triple H against Legacy gained over a million viewers, 1,223,000 to be exact. Overall, the overrun drew a 4.47, which is tremendous.

* If none PG segments like the bikini match is losing quarter of a million viewers they might think twice about upping the rating.

* The loss for Hornswoggle and Chavo is no surprise to me because both should have been released by now.

* Look at the main event gain and overrun rating. That's a bloody awesome rating by anyones standard.

Chavo IMO could still be useful, so them (WWE) releasing him wouldnt be a bad idea but Chavo could also help develop new talent thus why he should be in ECW. Horny needs to go though, the fans are sick and tired of seeing him and whenever he comes on people tune out because they dont want to see that little bastard in action.

I think that Viewers turned away after Seths Segment because they had been force fed a lackluster comedy segment and apparently were soon to be fed a lackluster diva´s match. Bathroom break, normally. That the match this time was a bikini match would only interest the single male audience such as us, but everyone with a girl by his side or a wife even would probably change channels for the duration of the match, you know, to come over as classy.

Chavo could be used so much better. Horny on the other hand, I agree. He´s really only the statistics midget. So WWE can say, they also employ a midget-wrestler.

from prowrestling.net:

WWE Raw drew a 3.6 rating, which is down from the 4.0 rating the show attained last week. The first hour of the show drew a 3.5 rating with 5,015,000 viewers, while hour two scored a 3.6 and had 5,197,000 viewers.

The USA Network issued a press release today trumpeting its "best summer ever," in which their ratings were the best by any cable network ever. WWE Raw had its best summer since 2001 in terms of total viewers (5.72 million) and households (3.83 million). Of course, 2001 marked the end of WCW and ECW. To read the press release, click here.

The guest host thing has been a big hit but I love the fact that Orton has been champion for most of this too.

Quote The 9/7 Labor Day edition of Raw featuring Bob Barker as the host scored a 3.8 cable rating. The show did hours of 3.86 and 3.79.

* 3.8 is another strong rating that Raw doesn't deserve with what they churn out to fans.

* Unless fans switch off Vince will think the current format is working and continue to book poor Raw shows.

* I don't think the Raw rating at all reflects what entertainment we get out of watching it.

Raw is scrambling for a 4.0 but I think the way they are going about it is cheap. Put on the best wrestling show and get ratings. Alot like back when Edge and Cena feuded. I mean, that feud had Cena lose to a heel! Who saw that coming?

Quote Last night's edition of Monday Night Raw featuring Cedric the Entertainer as the special guest host drew a 3.4 cable rating off of hours of 3.29 and 3.60. The show went up against stiff competition as the Indianapolis Colts vs. Miami Dolphins game on ESPN did an 11.0. (source: PWInsider.com)

* Although the rating didn't go down with such a poor host, it didn't go up any either which is surely the point.

* If they want good ratings they need to improve on the quality of guest hosts with more well known names.

* Going up against a match involving one of the most sucessful NFL teams of recent years was hard.
