Quote UPDATE: Randy Orton tweeted the following last night, revealing that he has signed a new 5-year contract with WWE. He said,

The 3 most dangerous letters in sports entertainment- #RKO
just re-signed with the 3 most dominant letters in sports entertainment- #WWE
Looking forward to pi$$ing off the #WWEUNIVERSE for at least 5 more years #WWEBACKSTAGE @FS1 @WWE

Orton has reportedly signed a multi-year deal, essentially putting to bed rumors that started when Orton teased joining AEW on social media recently

So that's that then. It was always a very long shot that Orton would go to AEW, I think most expected him to ultimately re-sign with WWE and I'm pretty sure that's where he will now finish his in-ring career.

Because of Randy's history with Cody and some of his social media posts I did have this slight feeling that Orton would do a Moxley and quit WWE sign with AEW and then tell the world how unhappy he'd been in WWE. But seems Orton just likes messing with people on social media.

Moving forward I think Randy should be booked as more of a attraction than anything else, he has a lot of value when used the right way. I would like to see him feud with Lesnar again.

It's good news for WWE.

I agree he should be booked as an attraction too

It's getting to the point now where his finisher is far more over than what he is- the pop he got for the RKO on Ricochet a couple weeks back is the biggest reaction I've heard him get in years

It's times like this I miss Maria. I wonder what she would have to say on this.

Yeah it would have been interesting to have seen Orton in another territory; but with him in the WWE we know what we're gonna get. As far as who he feuds with; I'd always err on the side of someone he hasn't faced yet; or at least not faced as much. I would actually love to see a feud between him and Samoa Joe. And when Adam Cole is called up I think a war of words between him and Randy would be awesome.
