While Orton is great in-ring, I thoroughly enjoy Miz's matches, he might not be a Chris Benoit, but he can sure as shit tell a story. Honestly, the way Orton is booked right now, the only way he'll lose that title if he wins it is by being blindsided. There's no way he can be booked from being that dominant, to losing, even dirty, even to Sheamus.

You mean, like Cena, or Batista, or Orton in 04? Granted, I know you don't like Cena or Batista (I think), but in ring work isn't shit if you've got charisma, and Big Dave wasn't even working with a whole lot of that.

This, I agree with.

I think a Miz/Orton feud would be gold. It would be a fresh headlining feud and as stated Miz could really hone his craft in the ring with the assistance of Randy who has proved to be great at enhancing less experienced talent in the ring.

As for the title put it on Miz. Orton is the most over he's ever been, he doesnt need a title where as Miz, who is currently the fastest up and comer in WWE, would go from strength to strength with the World title over his shoulder.
Randy Orton, much like The Rock and Steve Austin and even Batista and Cena, is best used as the challenger.

The only way I can really agree with that statement is in the sense that he wasn't used smack dab in the middle of the midcard for a considerable length of time. Evolution would've killed him if he didn't work hard during that push, and as a matter of fact, as soon as it got too high on political luck for both Hunter's liking and for Randy's own preparation, they damn near killed him anyway. From the time he lost that title all the way until Rated-RKO two years later, he was either Evolution's bitch, in an epic feud with Taker, being used as the scourge of Eddie Guerrero's name for the glory of the little masked boy, or more of a midcard player than he's been since his first year and a half on TV.

That's what I meant, you just worded it a whole lot better. Thumbs Up

I completely agree that he worked his ass off, and I don't for a second doubt his deserving being the top of the card, I was just saying how he's been lucky to progress so far so quickly without having to suffer stagnation of being the ignored middle to lower card for any length of time.

This weeks match with Miz showed exactly why Orton is at the top of the heap in WWE.
Miz comes out, US strap about his waist (why the hell is no one challenging him for the damn thing?), MITB case held high, 'I'M AWESOME' T-shirt, then a rant on mike and telling us 'I'M AWESOME', in case you missed the t-shirt lol. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Miz fan, but he's using every attention getting prop imaginable to draw attention to himself.
Out comes Orton. No props. Just walks to the ring, and one pose on the ropes. No talking. He doesn't need any props, or words anymore - being so respected - to get a huge response. When the match starts you see why.
This was a great match from both guys, and Orton did a great job selling Miz as a formidible opponent. Orton uses the ring as a stage, and his paced, methodical, and clinical attacks are pure theater - especially the two rope moves he uses (I love the way he uses those to stop and connect with the crowd for a moment before unleashing lol). Add that with the stalking theatrics, and Orton's innate menace and charisma it's a complete package.
The Miz is awesome, but he's got a long way to go to be as over as Orton. And this match up showed why. MIz is going to do well and learn a lot from this feud.

This will do wonders if they do feud it's like The Miz is the loud mouth & Randy Orton is the 1 to shut him up. I have to say The Miz isn't all that aggressive & I think some aggression would help him out a bit. Randy Orton is very aggressive which is why I'm such a BIG fan of his. I like the whole "Awesome" thing because it's a nice thing to catch on to. I have to say I would like to see The Miz as a face just to see how would things go.

Orton seems to do a lot better on Raw then he does on Smackdown.

Orton was totally in the zone on this weeks RAW, carrying the segment more by sheer force of his personality than actual ring-work (which was at its minimal best).
I loved the way Orton smiled evilly and toyed with Gabriel like a cat with a mouse, with one inevitable outcome. Then totally dominant as he flattened Shaemus.
Had to love the post match RKO on Gabriel - Orton letting him know that he wasn't getting off being eaten just because Shaemus interrupted. Then the chair beating and RKO on Shaemus for good measure. Good stuff, and why Orton is the best in WWE.

Orton was a fucking animal last night!lol  I really enjoyed his segment and how aggressive he was.  Man, was he so over with that crowd or what?  Those were louder than normal pops by my reckoning.

Orton was indeed amazing last night, but as usual, cole detracts from teh awesomeness

"I've never seen Orton like this"
er, you've never seen Orton snap or go nuts? Wut? Surely thats 'Vintage' Orton?

or maybe you meant you've never seen Orton SO aggressive with a chair?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lT5JR_g1p1s

except for a few months ago, when he broke batista's arm?

stupid cole.

But yes, Orton was amazing, though its becoming more and more obvious that hes gonna be jobbing clean to Sheamus soon.

Orton's chair shots on Sheamus made the latter look like a hero as they looked totally harsh!

He did a good job on Raw despite the result being completely predictable.  I too was amazed at just how over he was with the crowd.  I mean, I know he's well loved and everything but he had them eating out of his hand last night and he knew it.  It was quite funny to see him smiling under the tron and lapping it up with genuine enthusiasm by the look of it.

I do prefer him as a heel but I bet marketing were drooling seeing their new uber-babyface cash cow.  I like how he's remained hardfaced and not pandered too much to the audience considering his status, a la Cena.
