I think they'll tease the turn for a few more weeks yet building tension between Orton and Rollins. I expect Randy to be on Team Authority at Survivor Series and then maybe see him get eliminated following some sort of squabbling in the ranks between him and Rollins, as it stands the RKO on Raw can just be called payback for the curb-stomp he received prior to that.
I think Orton will go full blown face around the Royal Rumble then finally go one on one with Rollins at Wrestlemania.

I see it happening at Survivor Series. He and Rollins are the last two men for the Authority, Rollins distracts him/has a miscommunication with him and he eats an AA and gets eliminated seconds later. Later in the match, the ref is down and Rollins is about to KO Cena with a curbstomp onto the MITB Briefcase, Orton shows up, RKOOUTTANOWHERE, and boom. Insta-Face turn.

So, after ages of my favorite wrestler, RKO, being written into load of crap storylines, he is finally rolling again and gets written out of TV for a stupid movie.  It's probably gonna be another "save the girl from getting killed" type thing too which means it will suck.  Oh well.  Maybe he'll make an appearance at Survivor Series which is in his hometown.

By the way, wanted to say Hi to Pac, who said it to me in another posting.  Sorry I have not replied until now.

I think Orton has what it takes to be a top babyface but the one thing preventing it is Orton himself because he's so reluctant to work as a face and prefers being a heel. He's not willing to do all the fan friendly PR shit that Cena does.
Trouble is Orton in my opinion isn't a great heel, he's a adequate heel but lacks that something to set him apart from the pack, his dull monotone promos and slowed down in ring style doesn't help, as a face he works a faster paced more exciting style and his dark tweenerish character is more entertaining in promos as well.

Anyway despite Orton's protests the face turn seems to be happening very soon.

Watching the opening segment of Raw last night, and I am re-reminded of how much this feud with Edge revitalized Orton's career. Because even though he's Randy Orton, a multiple time World Champion, multiple time Royal Rumble winner, and multiple time WrestleMania headliner; in recent times Orton seems to have been lost in the shuffle as they say. Sometimes he's been competing for a mid card belt or in a minor feud.

But now after attacking Edge, all Orton had to do was stand there, and listen to the crowd react. He fed off if it. And being a master of segments at this point in his career, Orton knew just how long to say nothing and soak in the crowd's anger. It reminded me of Shawn Michaels' promo in 2005 in a rabid crowd in Montreal (as a bad guy) where Michaels owned the crowd.

Like I said, this feud is the best thing for Orton, not for Edge. Edge would be having attention on his return no matter what.

I wonder what Maria thinks of this.

This feud is also the best thing for Edge.

He hasnt been in the ring (for a prolonged spell in a wrestling capacity) for years - Orton is one of, if not THE safest worker in the game.

This has helped both guys IMO - Orton is back to his brilliant best and Edge eases back into things whilst still being involved in a top feud with a top guy

This is great for Orton, at times he's looked like he's going through the motions just going along with the script and doing the bare minimum for a pay day. But working in a high profile feud with Edge he looks back to his best, he's motivated again.

Also as mentioned Orton is a pro in the ring one of the safest workers there is and he completely gets the WWE style so he's the perfect choice for Edge's first feud in his return.

It was an awful way to start Raw and the live crowd that got there despite heavy snow deserved better.

Recap of previous week, slow walk to the ring, in ring segment that says nothing. It was all so pointless.

The start of a show is an important part to get the crowd pumped for the rest of the evening. Having a recap and few words said to kill fifteen minutes made it a damp squid.

Having Orton beat down Matt the way he did was excellent

It built up the heat on Orton whilst also gave Matt an out for leaving the company

I think this is the most interested ive been in Orton and what hes doing since the legend killer gimmick

I love how I explain how brilliant the segment was and how Orton controlled the crowd and then clueless Adders comes along and says the segment was "pointless." LOL Adders clearly doesn't understand important concepts like psychology and crowd manipulation.

The angle is hot and it did just what you claimed it did not.
