He’s 46 now and has only ever been anything more than a jobber for a very brief period during his time in WWE.

I accept he will probably be low-card for the rest of his career now but I would like to see him get another shot at being a heel and perhaps end his career in what in my opinion was his best role.

A lot of guys get one last title run before they fade into obscurity. I would like to think R-Truth has at least earned a US-Title run and would get to work with someone of his choice before he's done.

A good way for him to bow out would be to turn heel win the US title and then put a up and comer over for the title at a PPV, he would need a solid mini push to set him up for this.

I don't think he needs to go heel honestly I would be fine with him getting another tag title run but I don't see him getting another singles title run given his age.

It’s been rumoured a heel turn has been in the works for Tye Dillinger for a while now, perhaps Truth/Tye could have a short-term tag-title run before putting over a team for the belts which results in Dillinger attacking Truth and turning heel. Then they have a singles match where Dillinger goes over and kick starts his push as a heel.

Dillinger has potential and his perfect ten gimmick could work but it hasn’t as a face, he’s been a flop on the main roster so far a change is needed.

Keep on showing the truth just a bit more. For me one of the best to see on Smackdown.

Seen clips of a few of his recent matches on youtube

He may be old but he certainly can still go in the ring - even if he is just being used to enhance others such as Carmella in a management role once more

Quote R-Truth and Carmella come out to the ring for Truth's U.S. Title open challenge. Truth says he's going to follow in the footsteps of his childhood hero John Cena and issue an open challenge for anyone to come out and try to take his United States Championship. They have a dance break, and then Andrade comes out. While Andrade is on the ramp, Rey Mysterio runs down and jumps him from behind. Rey then runs into the ring, and it looks like Rey wants the Title shot instead of Andrade. Truth tells everyone to calm down, and says he doesn't know which one of them to face right now. Truth says in moments like this, he asks himself, what would John Cena do. Carmella says he would face both at once, but Truth says he was thinking more like neither of them. Truth says he's going to make John proud, and he tells the ref to start a three way match for his U.S. Title.

- R-Truth (c) vs. Andrade vs. Rey Mysterio: The opening bell sounds and Andrade immediately dropkicks Rey. Truth and Andrade go at it now, then Rey hits a hurricanrana on Andrade to send him out to ringside. Truth hits a spinning back elbow on Rey, and Rey is down. Truth looks for a springboard move, but Andrade pulls him off the apron and powerbombs Truth on the floor. Rey looks for a dive on Truth, but Andrade dropkicks Rey out of mid-air. Back in the ring, Rey fights back and drops Andrade. Rey goes after Truth now, but Truth fights back with a back elbow, and then they collide mid-ring and both men are down. Andrade is the first man back to his feet and he hits a running knee strike on Rey in the corner. He goes for one on Truth but misses. Truth connects with right hands and hits a facebuster. Truth hits a running clothesline in the corner and then a back suplex on Andrade. Truth calls for the Five Knuckle Shuffle, and he hits it on Andrade for a two count. Zelina Vega hops up on the apron and gets involved until Carmella pulls her down. Andrade throws Truth into the ring post, then Rey comes flying off the top and takes out Andrade. He puts Andrade on the ropes and looks for the 619, but Andrade dodges it. Andrade and Rey trade shots until Andrade hits the spinning back elbow on Rey for a two count. Rey fights back with a kick, then he drops both Truth and Andrade on the ropes for the 619. Truth dodges it, but Rey connects on Andrade. Truth rolls up Rey from behind for the three count.

Winner & still United States Champion: R-Truth

Funny stuff as usual from Truth who's using his experience to make the title interesting.

Loved his quip about Cena which got boos from the crowd LOL

It's comical he retained by rolling up the babyface. He didn't need to do his finisher and didn't beat the heel.

Yeah the WWJCD? was hilarious. I don't think I ever considered that John Cena has the same initials as Jesus Christ before. IMO Truth has been the most entertaining comedy character since Kurt Angle and it's great that he is back to being that guy once again and being featured.

There is actually another really good joke there waiting in the whole bit about how you can't see John Cena. All Truth has to say is that even though you can't see John Cena you can feel his presence.
