A few have mentioned recently how the standard of posting has gone down with some people. Therefore I link you to the Code Of Conduct and especially point number one......

While it's not always necessary to write that much, if you explain your reasons better in a post it gives the rest of the posters more to reply to, thus it keeps conversations alive, and stops them dying. One post of three lines is better than doing three posts of one line each. There is no contest to get hundreds and thousands of posts.

People will appreciate you more no matter how little you post, if what you do post is of sustance. Not everyone has time to read every single post, so if someone is scrolling through the forum and sees a one or two line post, they may well scroll straight past it. If they see a good few lines they are more likely to read it.

As Mr Quality Over Quantity 2010, I feel its important to contribute to this thread LOL

For a post to have quality, it doesnt need to have a lot in it. As long as you make a decent point, and provide something to back it up with, your post will be considered Quality.

eg:
1) John Cena suckssssss

2) John Cena sucks because he only uses 5 moves

3) John Cena sucks, because his moveset is limited to just 5 moves. When he does try to do somethign else, like a Fishermans or a Dropkick, they tend to look bloody awful. I concede the fact he is very good on the mic, and can get the fans behind him, but if he were to wrestle a bit more, he would not "evoke a response from the WWE Universe" but be a "firm WWE Universe favourite"

3 posts, in increasing levels of quantity. Lets have less of 1) and more of 3) Smile

I have always thought of you Sailor Trice, as a man of wise words LOL

I fully endorse people being more like option three in your post.

Agree to an extent. You do not want to go on and on over one topic, then it just seems like you are ranting.  Me, personally, I like to keep things short and sweet, but if I am stating my opinion on something, I will back myself up with why that is what I think, which is a lot more than what most people around here do. Less is more, but more isn't always merrier. Besides, I don't think I could stand having a Pac-esqe reply everytime somebody posts something. Way too much reading.

I think its not just content that quality should take precendence over. Punctuation (or lack thereof) is just as important, and some people around here don't quite seem to know just what a period or a comma is...

well, if you're discussing a show like RAW last night, put more than just "RAW was really good last night."

Provide some detail on what your favorite part of the show was.  It's a two hour program.  Even if you discuss just one segment, provide a little detail on why you liked that one segment and it will get people to respond which may give you more to provide.

If you're talking about a feud, provide more than just "so and so sucks" or "so and so rules".  Provide what has been your favorite part of the feud.

If you have an alltime favorite moment, give some detail as to why you enjoyed that moment so much rather than, "I love this moment".

Im going to be honest, its been kind of tough to post a lot here lately, or at least trying to make a good discussion. Granted I havent been quite as active lately, college classes are really killing me, but thats not been quite the only reason, Im usually not a rock the boat kind of guy, I try to save everything I have to say for the forums and keep it to wrestling talk for the debate. Its been hard to recently.  I know that is easy just to skip or scroll over those kinds of posts but when you are having a good talk and you are hit with one its really a buzzkill (no Brad Armstrong reference intended) and some of the things that get posted make you go WTF.  I really didnt want to say anything, but I feel better throwing my two cents in on the issue.

I think this idea I'm about to present fits under quality so instead of starting a new topic, I'm gonna put it here.

How about telling people if they find news to please list where they found the news from?  Like in the Mania thread, there are a couple of postings saying some new types of matches might be happening.  For one, no source is listed and for another, they don't even bother to list what type of matches may be taking place.
