Me and Admin had the idea that we should honour some wrestling legends by creating the Unprettier official wrestler hall of fame.

How this would work is we would have catergories, say main event, mid card, tag team, non wrestler, dead and women.

Each TUP member can nominate up to five names for each catergory, which we would then make in to the final nomination list.
We would then pick names from the list to be inducted in to this years class, obviously whoever receives the most votes would be inducted.

I think the final line up that gets inducted should consist of two main event, two mid card, one tag team, one dead, one non wrestler and one woman.

* Putting in eight per year sounds about right to me.

* We would have to keep our picks pretty realistic so the lineup isn't too strong every year.

* We can get this done for Wrestlemania time to fit in with the WWE one.

Glad to see our loyal royal and one half of the co owners are fully behind the idea.

I will get the nomination thread started as im now at work and have some time to kill!

What section would it be best to have the thread in Admin - general WWE or will you make it a sticky thread?

* I like how we have dozens of regulars and yet one half of the co owners and our Loyal Royal is enough to start the idea LOL

* It doesn't sound like that 'time to kill' bit Fletch with you being at work ha ha ha ha.

* General Wrestling will be the section so none WWE guys can go in it and i'll make it an announcement.

Good choices all the way, guys. This seems like a fabulous idea.

I used only past WWE stars for my choices.  For one, they are easier to remember and two, this is reminiscent of the one for the WWE.

Good idea, fletch.  I've already submitted mine.

There's one category that needs clarifying--the tag team one.  If a tag team is submitted, put the two members you think would deserve to represent the team.  For this reason, I didn't choose groups like The Hart Foundation cause they were always using different people as well as DX and The Nation of Domination. For my teams, I listed the two men of the team.

I did use Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard and even though they were longtime members of The Four Horsemen, The actual Four Horsemen stable was not part of the WWE but Anderson and Blanchard were as The BrainBusters, I think is what they were called.

Thats a good point Maria, i also wasnt to sure about nominating tag teams that had a guy that would also get plenty of nominations as a singles competitor, for example the Hart Foundation, British Bulldogs and The Rockers were all teams where half of the team is bound to get a main event nomination at some point but the other member probably wont.

So i reckon its ok for the wrestlers in question to get nominated in both catergories, after all the tag team catergory is about the merits of the team not just one wrestler.

true but when you guys do a count, how are you going to count it?  Do they count under the stable name or the two guys listed?

Sorry to make this so difficult. I did list The Rockers as one of my teams but it's been years since they were a team and it took their breakup for Michaels to become a singles star plus they never did do constant reunitings. It's your idea though so go with how you want it.

* Guys names most probably. So for example Bret Hart did enough as a tag team guy and main eventer so might be in both lists for someone.

* For tag teams people be specific of which two members if the team had more than two at some point in their career.

* I'm thinking over my picks and will sleep on it so I don't miss someone out.

Were inductions already made for 2010 for this or is that yet to come?

We have already completed the listings for this year.

We've done it the past two years and winners/layout can be seen here....

We do it in the run up to Wrestlemania with it being HOF season.

Y'all need to resurrect this thing this year; don't you usually do it around the time of WrestleMania, Fletch? There hasn't been one since 2014.

When do we do the TUP Hall of Fame for our members?

We haven't had one for a couple of years because it's been quiet.

We used to pop three in on our TUPiversary, but was running short on worthy people.

I suppose people no longer about could be put in without them knowing.

Most of the peeps that are no longer around are already Hall of famers as far as I know with probably maybe 1 or 2 not.

The alternative Hall of Fame is for wrestlers isn’t it? Think Admin and Jizzel are talking about the TUP hall of fame for posters.

I did the first couple of alternative hall of fame’s but don’t have the time on my hands for it now as it involved counting up the votes and working out who gets inducted then doing a class of that year write up post although I guess that’s not essential.

That's what I believe we were talking about considering its in this instead of in the wrestling section.

It's like some of you didn't even read the first page of this thread...

In any case Fletch if you can't commit the time as you have in the past we might find someone else to step up. The biggest thing is that the people already inducted in the Alternative Hall of Fame (from when it started in 2009 to when it stopped for some reason in 2014) would have to be compiled.

I could do it but with me running Ticket Wars, Top Record In the Jukebox, and being a forum mod as a whole I don't need to run everything. Fletch had first dibs as it was his idea years ago.

Happy to hand it over to whoever is willing.

I would like to do it but sadly don’t have the free time to fully commit to a little forum project and it wouldn’t be fair to keep people waiting for the results etc.

I think you should run it personally because it was your idea / you had first call as kondor stated - however i could help out if needed to keep things going and collate results if you arent online?

ITs not as if we need to get the results urgently and it gives people plenty of time to vote if you run it
