Quote John Cena has been telling people that he has a script in hand for a new WWE Films Production that will begin filming in the fall. It will not be a sequel to The Marine. If and when this thing does come to play, he'll most definitely have to take some time off from his WWE duties to shoot the film, or else face the burden of an incredibly taxing schedule. At the very least, he'll have to scale back on house shows and media appearances. When he filmed The Marine, he took about a month off. It should be interesting to see if he does what he did when he filmed The Marine in late 2004 where he'd fly out to Australia every week to film the movie, and then hop back on the plane to go back to the U.S. to appear at WWE shows. At the time, he was just starting to gain a lot of momentum to build for his eventual championship win at WrestleMania 21, which is why he didn't really take any time off. This time around, his spot is in safe-keeping and he'll still be the number one guy in the company if he decided to take some time off from his WWE schedule.

It could very well be another Marine situation in that he will stay the champion and fly too and from wherever it's set. It will probably be filmed nearer to USA than Australia like before this time. He's such an hard worker that anyone hoping this means he will drop the title should wait and see. I think he's earned some time off and should do so and drop the title. He can then concentrate more on the movie and knows when he comes back that he would be in a great position chasing the champion for a change.

I think that time of for John Cena would be great because you know how time off actually hypes up a superstar when they make their return, so he should do it and he will be cheered like crazy when he gets back, or at least I hope he will be.

You're lucky that you got that comment through but next time you better watch what you say because if you wish an injury on John Cena again you'll end up seriously and severely injured by the hands of me Got it?.

3 things wrong with that statement Boogs.

1. It's kayfabe dipshit. LOOK IT UP.

2. He's in Canada, ur in Aussie. You going to fly all the way over there cos some guy insulted Cena?

3. I bet he could kick your ass anyway. He's Canadian.

According to The https://www.ewrestlingnews.com/tag/wrestling-observer" rel="nofollow - Wrestling Observer , John Cena is not scheduled to be part of the https://www.ewrestlingnews.com/tag/clash-of-champions" rel="nofollow - Clash of Champions PPV.

The https://www.ewrestlingnews.com/tag/clash-of-champions" rel="nofollow - Clash of Champions pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, December 17th, 2017 in Boston, Massachusetts at the TD Garden and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. This will be an exclusive https://www.ewrestlingnews.com/tag/smackdown-live" rel="nofollow - SmackDown Live brand event.

Here is his updated WWE schedule:

— Tue. Dec 26: https://www.ewrestlingnews.com/tag/madison-square-garden" rel="nofollow - Madison Square Garden , New York, NY (RAW)

— Wed. Dec 27: Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, NY (RAW)

— Fri. Dec 29: Times Union Center, Albany, NY (RAW)

— Sat. Dec 30: Amalie Arena in Tampa, FL (SmackDown)

Steady week for him, with three dates in the same area and finishing with one where he lives.

It's a shame he can't do the PPV because the card really could do with his name power.

He's a workaholic and when he seemingly has time off at christmas he wrestles 4 days out of 5. Respect.

Quote Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that John Cena vs. AJ Styles is not the plan for WrestleMania 34 as WWE has him set for a bigger match.

Cena’s WrestleMania opponent will reportedly be made clear at the Raw 25th-anniversary show next month. That would likely mean that Cena will face someone like Undertaker, Batista or Goldberg.

Several angles for the top WrestleMania matches will be shot at the 25th anniversary of Raw on Monday, January 22. The speculation is that Cena’s opponent will be The Undertaker but that has yet to be confirmed

This is good news as I wasn’t exactly excited about the previously rumoured Cena vs Jinder Mahal match. At this point in his career it makes sense to use Cena in a big attraction role at major shows.

Of the potential opponents listed though I would say Batista is the most likely. A return for him has been rumoured for a while now and there is unfinished business between the two men plus it would be a top draw.

I think Goldberg is done with wrestling, he carried out his brief return to get his feel good moment, his family saw him in the ring live and he rounded off his career legacy in a much more satisfying way than he had previously. I could seem him making the odd appearance as a legend but I think he’s done in the ring.

The Undertaker I think is retired, he’s had surgery which apparently will prevent him wrestling and I find it hard to believe he would have done the retirement angle if it wasn’t legit. Never the less rumours persist about him working Wrestlemania this year.

So here we are again with Cena teasing a heel turn about having to step outside the realm of proper etiquette. At this point it still doesn't look like Cena vs Taker is going to happen, and I hope it doesn't either.

I hope Cena does finally turn heel, this is the right time for it, honestly. Cena isn't carrying the company anymore, Cena is a part time wrestler seeing a losing streak. He needs to go "Hollywood" and finally cement himself as a real legend by reinventing himself as the antithesis of his former self.

I just want Cena to go away if I'm being honest. The roster is already heaving without him taking up a spot on the Mania card.

There should be a spot on the show for him, as long as he can go, which I still believe he can.

Quote The very first guest on Raw Talk is John Cena, who appears looking subdued and downright depressed. Cena says he's been a certain position for so long and it feels like the burden has lifted off your shoulders, but mentally and physically, he doesn't want to let it go. He says he believes there will be a next time.

- Both hosts say this seems like a "different" John Cena and Cena clarifies that it doesn't mean he's done, but a voice in his head says "hey you're 41, you've given your life and body to this and eventually time is gonna grab you."

- Cena talks about having conflicting interests, about wanting to do well at things away from WWE but for the benefit of WWE. However, every second he spends away from here, the pulse gets weaker. The honest statement now is: I don't know if I'm going to WrestleMania.

- He talks again about WrestleMania "staring us in the face" and that he doesn't have an opponent, but he may have a plan. It may involve him stepping outside of the "proper etiquette" that they consider in WWE. Rosenberg asks him what he's talking about and Cena walks away and says "he'll figure it out."

Seems an heel turn was teased again. He sold during the interview how down he was. He wasn't his usual happy self.

It would be class after years of being a babyface in bright colours, for him to turn heel and have a new black t shirt.

Never really thought about him being that old.

I guess it's because he never really had an extended break has always been on TV. I mean The Rock is only 4 yrs older and he retired 15 years ago.

He could easily work a part time schedule. I do wonder if WWE will start to lessen his appearances outside of the ring for them. They've made Reigns the man so let him do all the stuff Cena has been doing, which would then allow Cena to work a proper part time schedule and do everything he wants and what WWE wants without attempting to burn the guy out.

Quote John Cena got fans buzzing after posting an interesting photo on his official Instagram account which led to speculation that he was hinting at a second match against https://www.ewrestlingnews.com/tag/the-undertaker" rel="nofollow - The Undertaker at SummerSlam following their first encounter at https://www.ewrestlingnews.com/tag/wrestlemania-34" rel="nofollow - WrestleMania 34 earlier this year.

It should be noted that it’s been reported that Cena is not expected to work this upcoming event and that he could be just trolling fans.

It would be stupid to not have a name as big as Cena on such a big event.

He could be easily put into any match or made a ref for something.

For example he debuted against Kurt so Angle could have him fight Corbin on his behalf.

Was it mentioned once that Taker would be at SummerSlam ?

If neither he nor Taker show up at least this week on raw then I don't see the match happening not that I really want the match to happen because the card is going to be pretty stacked as it is

We already have the smackdown tag titles on the line with a tournament on smackdown to determine the number one contenders.

We have Brock Lesnar vs either Roman Reigns or Bobby Lashley or both

Ronda Rousey vs Alexa Bliss

Becky Lynch vs Carmella (maybe)

probably a rematch between broken wyatt and the b team for the raw tag titles

and that's 4 matches already and more to come realistically with Lesnar and Rousey there you'd just be going a little overboard to have 2 more part timers on the show.

Cena will likely be at Summerslam. WWE always bring the big names back; it's why Orton came back when he did and it's why they're talking about The Undertaker.

Quote John Cena is set to make his return to in-ring competition for the WWE as he is slated to work the upcoming live event in Shanghai, China. He is also advertised for the upcoming Superstar Show-Down event in October.

Cena, who is not advertised for any other dates other than the ones listed above, wrote the following:

The 6th move of doom.
Ready for https://twitter.com/hashtag/WWEShanghai?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" rel="nofollow - #WWEShanghai .
Sept 1st.

— John Cena (@JohnCena) https://twitter.com/JohnCena/status/1025472090428895232?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw" rel="nofollow - August 3, 2018

This is the norm for Cena now, just to do the bigger shows now and then.

China is a billion plus populated country, so obviously E want Cena in their capital as part of it.

Doesn't look like Summerslam will be happening for him though.
