I have mixed thoughts on Hell in a Cell, the cell matches all delivered but the undercard was incredibly weak.
Elias vs Jeff Hardy and Lashley vs Slapjack(which wasnt even announced until halfway through the event) were very much paint by numbers WWE matches, nothing memorable and made you feel like you were watching a weekly episode of Raw or Smackdown rather than a PPV. The only other non-cell match was Otis vs The Miz, this at least was more storyline driven and had a ending which would have people talking and furthered the angle, the reasons Tucker gave for his heel turn on Otis actually made sense too.
The first cell match was Roman vs Jey, like all of this feud so far this told a great story and featured excellent character work from all involved. This match had me the most gripped of all the cell matches largely because I'm so engrossed in this storyline. Some hard hitting spots too and a clever finish, really good match.
The second cell match was the one I expected to headline Bayley vs Sasha. This was a really good match with some great action and storytelling, the only problem for me personally is I'm still very conditioned to not care very much about Womens wrestling and unless it's a major match like Becky vs Ronda for example I find it hard to be that interested, but that said I could see this was a exciting match which I'm sure many fans really enjoyed.
Drew vs Randy was a good outing too, some well worked spots and Randy and Drew both stood atop the cell with the Thuderdome in the backdrop was quite a visual. Drew was protected slightly by taking a nasty looking table bump off the cell which he sold like a dream, good to see Randy get a clean win and claim his 14th World title. Orton is on maybe the hottest streak of his career and I think a third loss to Drew would have hurt him, McIntyre can maybe get a return win down the line hopefully in front of fans.
