Quote As noted yesterday, WWE has written Kevin Owens off of TV for the time being with an injury angle after Bobby Lashley attacked him on Raw and targeted his knee. While the injuries stated by a WWE.com article are part of the storyline, Owens evidently really is battling a knee injury for the last little while and is set to undergo minor surgery in the near future.

-- Reports have indicated that Owens is not expected to be sidelined for any extended period of time, but this actually won't be determined until he goes under the knife and surgeons are able to assess the situation. As a result, there is no timetable for his return as it would all depend on what they find. It is expected that either later today or this week, WWE will announce the surgery and perhaps offer up more details on how long Owens is expected to be out of action for.

Glad it's nothing too serious, but the situation could have been sorted much sooner.

When he quit why not have the surgery then if this has been an issue for him for a while?

It's not like since his quick return from that horrible angle, he's done a lot.

Yeah shame he’s out but it’s not expected to be too serious which is good news, will just allow him time to sell the beatdown from Lashley.

So did he turn face? People are saying it was a double-turn and Lashley is definitely now heel but it remains to be seen if Owens will now work babyface.

I would have mixed feelings about it, KO is a very effective heel a role he seems natural and comfortable in so it would seem a shame for him to make a character change from something that works, but equally Owens as a heel has been jobbed out too much to the point of its hard to see him as a credible threat to any other top talent, he’s also become a bit too comedic I much preferred him when he was serious and dark like he was in NXT. Maybe freshening up his character as a face is the right call and he’s always got strong face-like reactions from the crowd anyway.

Quote WWE announced yesterday that injured star Kevin Owens is slated to be back on TV in approximately one month, which would imply that he would be back before WrestleMania and potentially be worked into a storyline leading to a match there. This would be contrary to previous reports which suggested that Owens was not going to be brought back until likely the Raw after WrestleMania.

It's been reported he's back post Wrestlemania, so his Raw video saying a month or so is brilliant news.

He looked great too. I have never seen him so healthy. He was probably in his teens when he was last in such good shape.

I am assuming he's babyface on return. His video had him mentioning time with his family, showed him on family time and had him smiling whilst bowling which he never does in a heel role.

Except that everyone knows KO is serious about being a good father, that's his justification for everything he has ever done. I did it to provide for my son. He's the Cersei Lannister of the WWE and it's a good role for him too.

Oh, and since you don't read/watch fantasy, Adders, read this if you want to know what I'm talking about:
