So apparently they met up to talk business and things between them is better than it's been before. No details have come out about what they talked about, so what do people think it is?

I can't see them selling E their video library or doing a co show or anything like that.

My guess would be Impact Wrestling being a new weekly show on the WWE Network.

It's widely reported Impact want to leave Pop TV because it's so lowly and wrestling fans have no other show to watch on the channel to make them more likely to tune in.

Having their weekly show on a specific wrestling network, where approx 1.5 million fans can watch worldwide live when it first airs would be great for them.

Nothing else would need to change. I wouldn't have E be given any control over the product, although maybe they could exchange talent for an odd appearance here or there from time to time.

For example if they do an Evolution PPV next year instead of bringing back oldies they could do a E versus Impact card. Asuka vs Allie, Charlotte vs Tessa Blanchard, Becky vs Taya Valkarie etc.

The speculation I've heard is that Impact wanted to be on the WWE Network, and in return WWE could use Impact's video library for the duration and just give credit to the source, and Impact would retain control over it.

That sounds fairly reasonable, but I don't think it makes much sense for Impact to be on the WWE Network, unless WWE starts branding themselves without the acronym, I.E. World Wrestling Entertainment, instead of WWE. WWE gives the impression that they exist only to promote their own product, but World Wrestling Entertainment sounds much more encompassing and inclusive of other brands.

Sounds like something Stephanie would need to address.

Makes sense to me, gives WWE control of the number two US promotion and of course it will be a huge benefit to TNA who are a sinking ship on POP TV. We know WWE want the video library and having to add Impact to the Network to get hold of it is definitely a fair trade, in fact it’s to WWE’s advantage as like I say it gives them a level of control over Impact and who knows maybe they could merge them with NXT or at least run cross over angles and maybe even use some WWE talent on Impact.

For me it’s win win.

That sounds a terrible idea and can't be true. E be a charitable cause by giving Impact a home, in return for the video library. What does Impact get out of that?

E would have to pay them so much per episode on top of using the video library. E might to not be out of pocket doing so, add say a fiver to monthly Network subscription so you can either still pay 9.99 or for 14.99 a month you get the weekly Impact show live and exclusive, the few PPVs they do a year these days such as Bound For Glory and the TNA back catalogue of PPVs and old weekly shows such as in the very early days at the Asylum.

We could also get the invasion 2.0 done right this time I mean you have styles and Joe and a bunch of other guys who were former impact wrestling stars you can add in the mystery of guys who went over to impact for a period of time like Jeff Hardy and Kurt angle will they stay loyal to WWE or will they turn.

Quote As we noted recently, WWE and Impact officials held a meeting in Stamford, CT last month to sort of open the lines of communication in working together. WWE reportedly initiated the meeting and Impact obliged though they made it clear that they were not there to sell the promotion of any of its assets. We also reported that the meeting was said to show that the two companies are no longer "enemies" and are likely eager to work together. Impact executive Scott D'Amore recently had this to say on the Wrestling Perspectives podcast:

"Since the beginning of the year, we’ve done three content deals with WWE. We did the Hardys documentary deal to supply footage to them. We did a deal to supply footage for AJ Styles and Kurt Angle for Table for 3 and we provided footage for Bruce Pritchard’s podcast on the Network. I think WWE is seeing that this is a different day for Impact Wrestling and I think, maybe, on the most minute levels, they see they that it’s a different day in wrestling. There was a meeting, we got together, we talked, and it was nice to be face-to-face and saying hello. It’s 2018, it’s a whole different world and there’s no reason why people should not communicate. There’s really no agenda to it. It’s how the business is now, which is tremendous. It’s good for us, not just to make a little scratch for providing the footage but, more than that, it’s the promotion they give us having it on their Network. That’s something that would not have happened two years ago. Finally we stopped with that old school wrestling BS where, ‘Oh, you’re with him. You can’t do nothing with us.’ Everybody benefits if there’s communication and little bit of respect."

Really well put. Everyone are adults and acting like grown ups to come to muturally benefitial deals is the right way to go.

I still think this is leading to Impact being screened live and exclusive around the world on the Network and being taken off USA television.

E might even help Impact promote a show in the days leading to Wrestlemania next year, where some minor E stars could wrestle for them maybe?
