Three matches in and I am already liking the look of the card.......

Bliss/Jax: Don't really need to see it again, but I expect Rousey to turn up to boost interest.

Five Way Number 1 Contender: Anyone but Reigns to face Brock at Summerslam please.....

Styles/Rusev: Fresh number 1 contender, two guys who are over and a challenger who's never had a one on one WWE title shot.

Wyatt/Hardy vs B Team
Jeff Hardy vs Shinsuke Nakamura
Carmella vs Asuka

All heavily rumoured / implied on TV.

Rollins will also have a match but it may not be for the IC title. The suggestion is that it'll be Rollins/Reigns vs Ziggler/McIntyre

Edit: Scratch that, that was meant to be at summerslam, not extreme rules

Bayley/Sasha should be kept till Summerslam. It's had a old school slow build and deserves a big four match.
 
Owens jobbing in a cage won't be fun but I don't think anyone would dare predict differently.
 
The way things are shaping up, it's going to be an enjoyable card all the way through the show.

If it happens this match could be that long awaited epic classic for Ziggler that people will remember to cement his legacy, no matter who wins.   

And as Macho Man, Ricky Steamboat, Mr. Perfect, Bret Hart, Davey Boy Smith, Shawn Michaels, and others proved, the Intercontinental Title is the belt to do it for.

Thank you; been feeling a lot better. 

I guess this match has been confirmed; so that's a good thing. I am way far behind in current WWE; but aye, just reading your post about it it looks great on paper.

If it was a normal name PPV that would be a very good card that looks excellent and is stacked.
 
But because of the name of the event and knowing we won't see anything extreme, the card suffers.
 
They should retire the name because it's a mockery to the good old days of blood.

Yeah I hate the name Extreme Rules especially when over half the matches are just normal format. The Extreme Rules name historically dates back to when WWE were running the ECW One Night Stand shows which were then eventually rebranded as WWE Extreme Rules as the WWE version of ECW died a death. Better to just give it a whole new name now that makes some sense.

It’s a very strong looking card with Lashley/Reigns and Ziggler/Rollins the two I’m looking forward to the most. Will be interesting to see which match gets the main event slot.

I don't mind it. We have a tables match, a cage match, a shark cage match, an Iron Man match and an Extreme Rules match. Sometimes less is more.

Reigns vs Lashley is apparently set to headline, I would have liked to have seen that spot go to the iron man match but I guess it was always going to be ‘Vinces guys’ getting top billing.

Lashley is being built as heavy as possible and Roman is the top draw in the company. I have no problem with it going last.

Id prefer Styles Rusev to go last because sometimes the Smackdown title should be built up more than it is - however given the build up to Lashley Reigns, it makes sense for that to headline

The state of the WWE title right now is not a great thing and having dual brand PPVs was always going to be the end of its position as the top title in the company.

Fuck that, the WWE title is THE title, not champion of the WWE Universe's #1 contender match. It'd be one thing if it were Brock as the champion vs whoever, but AJ Styles as the World Wrestling Entertainment Champion should be the main event. This isn't even a case where the title match is playing undercard to the Undertakers WrestleMania streak, or some returning part-timers. This is a #1 contender's match getting top billing over the undisputed top title in all of pro-wrestling today.

WWE Championship has been the undisputed top title the world over since WCW went under and the lineage of the NWA World Heavyweight Championship was dissolved. 

Brock Lesnar's title is a nothing belt, with a stupid name and knockoff design with a nothing lineage.

There is only one title in all of wrestling that exists today which even begins to approach what the WWE Championship is, and that's the IWGP Heavyweight Champion with names like Antonio Inoki, Big Van Vader, The Great Muta, Masahiro Chono, Shinsuke Nakamura, Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles, Okada, and Kenny Omega. Yet even this title only goes back to the 1980s. 

Sorry, but to me, the champion of the wwe universe will always be a joke, and its #1 contendership is even less important. I daresay any fan who's watched longer than a decade would say the same.

I just read a review of the show, didn't watch it as I don't have a subscription anymore, but it sounds like the show was pretty good.

Glad they didn't close with Lashley Reigns. Raw women's title, WWE and intercontinental titles all got higher billing. That sounds about right to me. Impressed they went with the IC title as the main event. I'm sure ok with that from time to time, though not on a regular basis and I think this was a good time to go with it. From the sounds of it Ziggler vs Rollins was a very good main event. I've always liked that pairing on paper but never saw a match between them turn out to be of the quality I would expect to see. Sounds like they finally lived up to their collective potential together.

Whenever it is that I finally renew my WWE subscription, this is a match I will go back and look up.

After the crowd reaction in that match I'd say that neither Rollins or Ziggler are likely to main event a pay per view for a long, long time.

The Jeff Hardy v Shinsuke match lasted about 5 seconds. I at first thought Brock was wrestling in the match since it was only 5 seconds but alias I was wrong , Haha

A crowd of attention seeking marks.
 
One midcard title match lasting a few seconds.
 
Randall returning to heelishly attack the babyface former champion that was already laid out.
 
The other midcard title having way too many falls and being made to go into added time for no reason.
 
A female title match that was too obvious that Ronda would jump the barrier.
 
Management trying to copy a twenty year old memory instead of trying to make new ones.
 
A card full of promise on paper and it didn't create any lasting memory.
 
I would say 5/10 for what we saw. Even for ten pound a month on the network I feel short changed.

Jeff Hardy is said to be injured so that may explain the quick US title match finish.

The first half of the card was mediocre filler stuff, nothing memorable aside from the shock Nakamura quick win and return and heel turn of Randall. The cage match was short and will only be remembered for them trying to recreate the Foley stunt, Owens’ heel work was top notch as always though.

Lashley vs Reigns I quite enjoyed although I felt the pace was a little sluggish at times and it could have been better. I’m glad Lashley got the win and now hopefully challenges Lesnar.

AJ vs Rusev was very watchable but the build up to the match was poor and it didn’t feel like a important World title match nor was it treated as such, eveyone knew AJ was winning and that hurt the match.

Nia vs Alexa I found a quite entertaining Extreme Rules match and it continued the build to Rousey/Bliss.

Rollins vs Ziggler was match of the night but the crowd were irritating and disrespectful. McIntyre looked like a beast again. It was the right call to have this match main event just a shame about the dumb attention seeking fans.

The show gets a 5/10 from me. Wasn’t terrible but rather forgettable overall, I could have easily just watched Lashley vs Reigns and the main event.

Also another 4 hour show which seems to be the minimum for all PPV’s now, I watched the pre-show matches too so feel like I literally spent half a day watching this PPV, for a B-Show it’s too long.

As noted, the order of matches was shifted very late in the day.

That's the kind of show that might make Vince feel like he needs to make more effort to turn up.
 
I don't see the point of what they did with Randall Keith Orton. His name doesn't warrant trying for a surprise.
