Randall won't be dropping the title, but I hope Jinder is booked to look like he deserves to be in the main event of the best E show.

Both guys are in great shape and this fued could be the making of Mahal going up against a future hall of fame guy.

I think we should give it a chance before we shit over it because at least creative are attempting to make a new top tier heel.

It'll only had a shelf life for 8 weeks, and I am really going to enjoy this. He built organic heat with his great promo after he won the 6 pack challenge. Mahal is getting his 15 minutes of fame.

I have no problem with this at all, it's refreshing to see a talent moved from the lower card in to the main events and given a chance to prove he belongs.
In fairness why shouldn't Mahal be given this opportunity, far as I can tell he's a reasonable ring worker although he's been a jobber for so long it is hard to gage the extent of his ring talent. He's got personality and a decent look, plus as mentioned he's very marketable in India. He paid his dues for long enough jobbing to the stars, I think the only problem he may face is gaining acceptance from the fans who have become very used to seeing him lose more or less every match he's in. It is a very fast upgrade going from rarely having a match on PPV to being in the headlining match on one.

I've always quite liked his gimmick as well, reminds me a little of Muhammad Hussan who was a great character before WWE were ordered to remove him from TV.

Nahh I just cant see it, I dont rate him as hes just another Tiger Ali Singh waiting to happen. And now that Ive heard theres an Indian international angle here and a money making scheme, its clear why Vince & co are pushing him and its not because of in ring talent.

I always like it when they make a new number 1 contender and then the current champion comes out and confronts them, like Orton did last night. But then they totally flattened that thing with him and Mahal going face to face, with another pointless weird Wyatt speech on the screen!

He's beyond better than Tiger Ali Singh haha.

Whilst this may well only be short term due to the whole India thing, Mahal is still only 30 years old so they can still play the longer game with him if they choose.

I have to praise him for working hard to get into the shape he's in now, and it would be great to see him run with this opportunity.

I don't think for one second anyone can see him winning the WWE Title, however if he can build himself as a solid mid/upper card talent then this short blast at Orton could well be worth it....even more so if he can drag the Singh Brothers with him.

What is it with Mahal's body, it looks awful and I can understand why there are accusations of steroids. And let me also say the word ALLEGEDLY here, just to cover myself lol.

ps - Bazza, are Newport down yet ? Ouch

Really? Cause I see him as another Titus O'Neil waiting to happen. He'll probably do something like grab Vince's arm, be suspended, and then jobbed out for the rest of his career.

No he'd probably even blow the idea of grabbing Vince's arm. (thats how good, or garbage/wank he is!!)

haha, I don't know man, I think he's better than THAT. I'm willing to give the guy a shot to get over, maybe he'll surprise me, or he'll appeal to a vocal niche group that think he's the best thing ever, like what happened to Rusev. I swear I see no appeal to Rusev as it relates to his run on the main roster with Lana (I saw loads of potential in him as the Roman gladiator in NXT), but he was seriously over there for a while. Now no one even notices that Jinder took his spot.

Like you say Rico these stars can often surprise us with their pushes/storylines.
And yes I know Im being a bit unfair on Mahal here but he doesnt give me any long term confidence. I did sort of like the partnership he had with Rusev recently, after the Enzo thing but I just cant help but see him as a jobber.

Mahal has been booked as a jobber for so long noone knows if he can go in the ring or not, he's got a good look and some personality about him so he needs to be given the chance to prove if he can shine in the ring in a main event setting. I also did not know he was only 30 so it could be argued he was jobbed out while young so he could gain seasoning and work on his craft, most top WWE stars don't really hit their stride until they are over 30.

I'm happy to see a fresh face in the top tier of the card I'm more than willing to give him a chance to succeed.

It's the old "Create new stars" but "not this guy" thing for a lot of fans isn't it LOL

I was shocked when I checked to see he was only 30 so it could well be the fact he is more seasoned now and they see something in him behind the scenes to give him an opportunity.

I must say he does come across well and is allowed to show a bit of personality (Check this weeks Talking Smack) so that's also a good thing.

He did it the previous week on Talking smack as well, he went running his mouth and saying this is his time now, and he wants and deserves the opportunity of a title push etc. Sleepy

Tedious and predictable stuff really.

Good beatdown and an heel in the title picture having some hired help is something Randall has done in his career, so i'd put it being done to him into the storyline.

The commentary team made a big deal of Jinder stealing the title belt, whilst when the guy who had his title stollen was doing arson they barely said a word LOL

I hope Jinder looks an equal when they face off, so it gets twenty odd minutes as a main event PPV title match should.

So the feud is going to end in "Jinders Heroes Match" The Punjabi Prison...can't believe they had Jinder call Khali his hero!
